  1. Yeah, more disappointed he's failed than that I've lost a tenner though TBH.
  2. Only used a taxi once to get from the airport and just agreed a price before hand. Cost more than jumping on a bus/tram but as there were 4 of us we agreed it was easier than lugging 4 lots of luggage around.
  3. I'm of the generation (I hope anyway being on 31) where I think most have tried illegal drugs but its never once appealed to me. I've been offered and had a few opportunities to try it but it's not for me. I know numerous freinds who have, I know one of my neighbours dabbles and my answer is always as long as it doesn't effect me I couldn't give a crap what anyone else does. BUT I do understand why they do it. What I don't get is why anyone would smoke, it may be legally but the effects are catastrophic but because they're not so quick or in your face people don't seem to mind. Knowing what we know now I'm not surer why anyone under the age of 30 smokes.
  4. As of tonight, Bjarne is 3rd in Pooles rolling averages while Kurtz is 6th. So Kurtz drops to reserve, Buzz drops to second string and Bjarne goes to heat leader. But before they get new averages Poole have to go to Wolves on Monday, are at home to Wolves on Wednesday and at BV the following week. Averages after that meeting will determine who of Bjarne, Buzz, Ellis and Kurtz will be heat leader or reserve, they're all so close that frankly they could end up in any order after the next 3 meetings. Newman is pretty certain to stay in reserve while Holder and Hans will be heat leaders. The new averages then come into effect on the 19th September.
  5. TBF Loram was a top 3 rider the year before but because the year before that he'd be ill and had a bad year he missed out on the GPs. Take his average points per GP in '99 and he'd have easily been 3rd. And don't forget that ever GP he had to start from the qualifier heats where as the other top guys started later in the meeting based on their result in the previous GP. So while he may not have medals to say he was ever top 3 at any other time, he was in reality in '99 and he surely went into 2000 as one of the favourites for the title. 2nd, 2nd, 5th, 3rd, 5th and 6th is a seasons record most riders would kill for! In 2013 Woffy had twice any many GPs to compete in but only won a single GP, same with Ha0ncock in '14 and Nicki in '08
  6. Ive been to Prague 3 times now. So much to do, cheap, really easy to get to the stadium on a tram and if you buy a 3 or 5 day bus/tram/metro pass it really doesn't cost much at all to get around. Plenty to do for people aged 12 to 100 there,
  7. So Hans is not happy with Matt Ford then. Shock horror, another promoter he's fallen out with then! Mind you, it does appear to be Ford in the wrong here.
  8. Tbf, I and other Bees fans have been critical of him missing meetings for the SEC rounds. I never have been happy with it, either with KK himself or our management for running in them dates.
  9. Imagine how silly you might feel after slagging off Krys Kasprzak all year for your number 1 to only score 11 from 10 tonight and now have a significantly lower average than KK. Ouch! 7.50 vs 8.04
  10. So the first tests happened yesterday. Days after all riders were warned tests were going to happen. The sport is a joke. Rather than catching people they have let them in on the fact. What a shambles. As I said earlier. Speedway sweeping more rubbish under the carpet
  11. IRR for Hans only dropped 1 point so Poole can't even blame that. Losing 52-38 is piss poor, even allowing for a poor guest at number 1 - and the use of a guest for well dodgy any way!
  12. I'll type this slowly so you can read it. You CANNOT pay at the turnstiles. It is impossible. You can't do it. It's not possible. There's nobody there to sell you tickets. You have to go to the ticket office or, as suggested and rubbish we by you, you can buy tickets online.
  13. Woffy had been an 8+ EL rider and was riding in Poland. Lambert has a near 7 point EL average, no polish experience and is averaging about 4 in Sweden. Id he makes it he'll get my full support but he's still a little short of GP level of he's relying on a wildcard IMO.
  14. Even by your special standards that special. Try reading the posts you're replying to, you won't look so stupid when you reply to them.
  15. If he qualifies then brilliant. If not it's probably a year too soon for a wildcard. First reserve would be nice though.
  16. Showing excitement is fine but Pearsons was just grunting and groaning. It's embarrassing.
  17. Rumours a few weeks back that an "injured" rider wasn't actually injured. 2+2 is starting to add up now, something it didn't do when I was told about the rider not being injured but "needing" a few weeks off
  18. What a final. Not a bad GP tbf but the final was brilliant.
  19. Wrong. Green lights "indicate the start is imminent", as per the rules. That annoys me, guy off gate 4 misses the start, rides into guy off 3. Gets all 4 back. If you choose gate 4 you run the risk that if you miss the start they beat you here and your left behind. Shouldn't be allowed to ride into the guy off gate 3
  20. Tatum - we want 4 riders in a race Tatum - exclude KK and Kildemand Does anyone know what rule was used to exclude KK? Didn't touch the tapes and you can't excluded him for not being under power as the race had not started as Kildemand was excluded for a start offence.
