To think all the Poole fans went on about how Hans would be appreciated and how terrible it was some Bees fans gave him stick. What's the word? Hypocrites!
-
Use a guest for, he gets a two week ban and that means we get a guest in the other two meetings. Problem solved!

It's 2016 and people are STILL complaining about how people look? FFS. Pathetic. People should be allowed to wear what the hell they like, clothes, hair, tattoos or piercings. And to suggest someone hasn't been brought up correctly for wanting to express themselves is madness. I doubt any parent chooses to bring up a homosexual child but are they failing if they do too?

I'd laugh if his 4 refuse to race and then miss out on the title or a medal by a point or two. You may as well try, you have nothing to lose here. If it's that bad pull up but it's if good you could get 3 points

It's a weird track, to look at it would be terrible but both sec and the pairs meeting we've seen from here have been really good
-
Rubbish, you were raving about how great he was last season before he'd even signed for you. If you're going to tell lies you need to remember what you have said in the past better than others remember what you have said in the past!

It's been a really absorbing conversation though. Some people have really been soaking up the information on here.

Coventry V Poole. 15/07/2016 Elb
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole are we weaker having Bjarne in reserve and Ellis in the 1-5. Ellis would score more in reserve that he will at second string and Bjarne would probably score the same as second string or reserve. The issue is also not riders moving into the 1-5 but that the format allows reserves to have easy meetings and get higher averages (unless you're Woryna!). -
Wish This Happened On Roundabouts In My Town
SCB replied to speedibee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I used to work for TATA (Corus at the time) and we had some Scandinavians over and they looked at all the guards on the machinery and asked, "why?" so we explained it was health and safety, stop people putting arms in machines. He stopped, looked at us in the most perplexed way and responded, "What? We don't need guards in Sweden (or whatever country he was from), we have common sense, nobody is stupid enough to put their hand in a machine" -
Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 13/7/16 Elite Lge B
SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just like the rules to be stuck to. I don't believe last night was World Longtrack Championship though. Just a big grasstrack meeting. So I am right, there is NO facility for riding around a field in France which is what last night was. And Scunthorpe had no facility last season for Theo Pijper when he was practising for the Longtrack. I also at the time of the David Howe facility complained! -

TBF there was no plan B. No facility. Anyway, yes, it does change things. No sympathy at all with Poole over this one. Not that I had much at all to begin with. -

He's told you. There is no facility for someone riding around a field in France, never has been, never will be. -
Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 13/7/16 Elite Lge B
SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree with this. Although lets not forget last time Lakeside were due at Poole and they didn't have a full team they just postponed the meeting, maybe with Cook its a case here of "once bitten twice shy". Leaving it to the last minute is a bad thing to do but we all know Matt would have played it that way so I struggle to have to much sympathy. -
Coventry V Poole. 15/07/2016 Elb
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lasse Bjerre or Ryan Douglas look like the best options. Douglas as a rider seems to be kicking on so might even be one of the future (if we have one) -
This was my thinking. The sponge itself is a red herring, the issue is what the sponge was soaked in, good or bad!

A Suggestion For The Elite League Play-offs
SCB replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This would suit Poole. They have two reserves who can score 10 at reserve but only really 4 or 5 in the 1-5. Yet all their 1-5 riders are capable of 10 where ever they ride. So all those worried Poole will gain by having Holder or Bjarne in reserve need not worry, having one of them in reserve actually weakens them elsewhere. -
2016 Speedway Gp Qualifiers
SCB replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
TBF, if it had been top 8 from both meeting then Vaculik would have been one of the 8. He finished 8th and was first reserve. So its totally fair to give him the place. As for Lindgren, he's had more chances than Harris now! -
2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016
SCB replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Maybe the Danes only want to win and not just make a final. If they want to win they need to beat everyone and there thinking is, "if we can't beat a team in a the race-off we'd lose to them in the final so whats the point?" Meanwhile us Brits every year just hope to get to the final and cling on, then wonder why we don't win with our defeatist attitude. Whats the best way of getting from the centre of Manchester to BV on both days? Bus? -
Coventry V Poole. 15/07/2016 Elb
SCB replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hopefully he's in Poland and I'd take Gary Havelock as a replacement. Probably score more and will be too busy to manage the team so a double win! -
Kings Lynn playing fast and loose with the rules again? Starting to make Poole look like saints!

Poole Pirates Vs Lakeside Hammers 13/7/16 Elite Lge B
SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I love that the local rag is having a go at Lakeside for daring to make sure the rules were adhered too. Aww didums, are the people on the south coast getting upset because they have to play to the same rules as everyone else? And whats got into Jon Cook? In the past he's rolled over for Matt Ford! -
Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016
SCB replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
This is what amazes me. Cardiff has MANY great clubs, I'd stick Walkabout right down towards the bottom. I think it's sums up speedway fans that they all seem to congregate there. Cheap, no-thrills, a bit crap and run down. You only have to walk single figure minutes to numerous better places. (and guess where I ended up Friday night!!) -

SCB replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Having some some more research, it turns out it's not even an FIM meeting. It's just a random grasstrack meeting in France. And Poole thought they could have a guest? Really? FFS! -

That's the kind of shambles you expect from Coventry or BV!
