I watched the GP qualifier live stream from Glasgow last week what a great meeting and very easy to sign up and watch. I'll definitely be watching this Friday and hoping for a good meeting and an Eagles win. I prefer going to meetings but Glasgow is a 7 hour drive for me so to watch the live stream is a no brainer and the price is OK as well.

EASTBOURNE V EDINBURGH June 12th

Taken from Gov website:- "From 23 May the UK is designated as a virus variant area of concern, which means that you may only enter Germany from the UK if you are a German citizen, a resident or their spouse/partner/child under 18, or if you can invoke an urgent humanitarian reason such as an immediate family bereavement. No other travellers may enter Germany from the UK" -

Been looking forward to this for weeks and I can't remember the last time Eastbourne was rained off so gutted is an understatement. Still we have Eurovision on tele tonight to look forward to (I don't think, sorry I'm not a fan of that) -
EASTBOURNE V NEWCASTLE 22nd May

As you say it will be good to see speedway again regardless of result just hope the weather's OK it's been awful in Essex for last few days. Just seen on Eastbourne website that local council now say we have to wear masks outside as well as in and anyone without a mask who is not exempt will not be admitted or they risk being closed down by Council. Just hope things start improving in June. -
I feel a bit sorry for the Ipswich promotion 're Masks as they probably have to follow Council rules or they can't run the meeting yet at Eastbourne Masks only have to be worn inside ie toilets and turnstiles. At Eastbourne entry is by pre bought ticket online only yet at Ipswich you can turn up and if they've not reached capacity you can pay at the turnstile with cash and surely money changing hands carries more germ risks than standing outside without a mask. Roll on June 21st

The following is taken from the official government website 're face coverings, one of the exemptions 're age might apply to a few speedway supporters !! Exemption cards If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering: you do not routinely need to show any written evidence of this you do not need show an exemption card This means that you do not need to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about your reason for not wearing a face covering. However, some people may feel more comfortable showing something that says they do not have to wear a face covering. This could be in the form of an exemption card, badge or even a home-made sign. Carrying an exemption card or badge is a personal choice and is not required by law.

· It also says the following:- " If you are in a seated area when moving past others please avoid face to face contact with others" For goodness sake if you've got a mask on what difference will it make if you look at someone, especially as we can stand in the car park without masks and chat to people. What on earth has happened to common sense!! 21st June all restrictions are hopefully being removed so I won't be going to Ipswich before then.

Sorry I'm not sure, 2019 seems such a long time ago and 2020 I would rather forget.

Eastbourne Management are really good at keeping fans informed. There is an update on the Eastbourne website explaining online ticketing, double header pricing etc. I'd suggest anyone who is thinking of possibly taking a trip to Arlington this season reads the article asap and pass the word round as basically it's online tickets purchased in advance entry only as there will be no pay at the gate for probably the whole season. A short bit from the update is below, just wish other promotions were so pro active:- "We will have to work under ONLINE pay in advance Ticketing Arrangements for most, if not all of the 2021 season. We are trying to make as many supporters as possible aware of this via the Club website and social media, and to all fans who registered for updates via our website, which is free and easy to do."

Just signed. There has been over 1,600 signatures so far, the majority objecting with only a few hundred in support. Would be good if we could get over 1,500 or more objections. It's especially annoying that the new owners can start digging up the track before they've even got their planning permission passed (hopefully to be refused) total arrogance.

Here's a novel idea, more info and details etc on the Berwick Website. I'll be watching it and donating, wonder how many others will? the event is now scheduled for Wednesday the 21st of October at 7pm. * Pay what you like pay per view: Watch the British Under 21 Final from the comfort of your living room on your SmartTV or your household devices. Before, during or after the event head on over to www.berwickspeedway.com and pay what you feel the event is worth

Or how many realise how much they miss live speedway, I'll be at the first meeting of my team definitely.
-
People have to buy a TV licence and lots of stuff the BBC put out doesn't interest everyone at least paying to watch a live stream you can choose if you want. I'll be watching on Saturday regardless of line up, one a race starts anything can happen at least you get a result unlike a football match where you watch for 90 minutes and it's still 0 - 0 when it finishes.
-
Not sure of the rules etc but once you've paid you can watch on demand after the meeting has ended, probably from the next day, don't know how long it would be available for though. I watched live last night and just after the meeting started I emailed them with a question expecting to get a reply probably today but they answered within 20 minutes, there's a link to email on their website they may be able to advise you.
-
I watched last night's stream from Belle Vue and really enjoyed it but I'd always choose watching live over streaming. On saying that with no local derbys as in years gone by my nearest track is at least a 2/3 hour round trip which I do for all their home fixtures if the weather's OK. I'd love to go to all the away meetings as well but thats impossible so I'd happily stream them for £10 each probably up to twice a month but I think to make it viable for watching regularly for most people and to encourage others like me to also watch streams of other than the team they support £5 would be nearer the mark. It would be much cheaper for 2 or more people to watch from home even at £10 a time but nothing can replace watching live, so alongside streaming Promoters need to find ways to get new supporters into the stadiums first.

Why should we not be attending public gatherings. Not all medical conditions are visible. Myself and many others are able and entitled to make the most of our lives and that includes enjoying/watching sports/theatre/cinema etc. If I felt unwell I would not be going out in the first place. Just because some of us can't wear a mask doesn't mean we have to lock ourselves away, understanding and tolerance is needed in these uncertain times by everyone. -

Article says " fans should note under current circumstances everyone must wear a face covering within the Adrian Flux Arena" Are the rules different in Kings Lynn, can anyone enlighten me, I thought they only had to be worn in shops etc not in outdoor open spaces and as far as I am aware they weren't worn at Scunthorpe. This is a genuine question I'm not trying to be sarcastic etc as I would like to go to the meeting but am unable to wear a face covering. -
I'm no air conditioning expert but I reckon outdoors has to be better than 're circulated air. As for toilets, bars etc I think it will probably be up to us fans to try and keep our distance and not all rush to the loos during the tractor race. I hope there will be some racing this year and if there is I will be there but it is beginning to look doubtful unfortunately. It seems that "stadiums" have all been lumped together under one umbrella even though football stadiums are usually fairly full and stadiums with small sports like ours are not being assessed separately.
-
I suppose it will ultimately depend on what clubs want to run and what riders are willing to ride, obviously there would have to be a lot of give and take on all sides and possibly 're allocating of some riders perhaps.
-
Why not merge all the Premiership and Championship clubs who want to run into one league for this year, call it Pandemic Challenge league perhaps, at least there would be some speedway this year
-
So pleased for these lads, sadly we've been denied the pleasure of watching them race so far this year. I see Neil Vatcher is looking for sponsors to help with tyres etc wouldn't it be great if they managed to get all their tyres sponsored - start looking down the back of your sofas people as we've not been able to go out and spend much in the last few months you must have some spare mouldies knocking about somewhere "every little helps" as a well known supermarket keeps telling us.
