This meeting and special race jackets has been sponsored in the memory of speedway nut. Don't know who he/she was but a big shout out to family, relatives and friends for this very good gesture. Think other ko cup meetings in this league has the same sponsorship -

Will be a tough encounter especially if Mr boughen decides to stay at the northside arena!! Could be 48-42 either way, will be watching updates from Greece UTC -
Thanks for the reply, I did hear something !!! Surely you can still visit the northside. arena as its well worth a visit, us comets fans don't bite
-
Wasn't THJ part of the people who wanted to take over ? Anybody heard of THJ recently very quiet on the forums, but I do know he said he was pi##ed off with speedway after the diamonds fiasco
-
But from what I'm reading Birmingham are struggling to get a crowd and lost money last year who is gonna pay for a 7.5 rider ?? The team was built to a budget to survive, now due to fans not supporting the team, now appears some supporters want to break the bank again !!
-
Many supporters talk sense, but the clowns in charge just Bury their heads in the sand and wonder why the sport is dying on its ar#e
-
It's about time the young kids got protection from being dropped all the time, then bringing in older journey men who have not made the grade all these seasons!! How about having a rising star at No 7 all year, and a under 24 brit at 6, and another under 24 brit in the team, bit similar to what Poland do
-
Unfortunately I can't see the diamonds making a comeback, unless the saudies at St James Park want to invest in a new sport, just think, summer speedway in this country, then take the teams/league away for winter racing in the desert
-
Probably but Mr crang and Mr Mcgurk must have dropped a lot of points off their average?
-
I'm hearing (dispite being in Greece) that a recently retired young west Cumbrian rider was having an after meeting skid round, is he coming out of retirement to replace one of the comets? If we dropped our no 4 ( injured/bike problems) would it fit in the points limit
-
Following on updates seems like better team won, no complaints at that, but looking at score cards too many engine failures and last places for the Comets, can't win if you don't finish or finish last, but these are mainly young kids so a big learning curve, but Mr crang is old enough to know the bikes should be able to finish a race !!!
-
Holidays planned before fixtures out, and even before it was confirmed that the comets ride again
-
Should still be a good meeting at the sunny Northside area, little bit of rain today good forecast for 2morrow, with the first rain for over 5 weeks, may mean the track riders a bit different, and don't forget the club is showing ithe GP in the marquee after the meeting, with bbq and can bar available UTC unfortunately I'm on my way to Greece so can't make it

Turned up with Leicester at Northside areana last week, done the track walk with the team. Then disappeared, all sorts of rumours why, and Leicester eventually put a statement out, and got fined, but the person involved appears not to be punished by the bspa due to being a minor !! Seen the boy a couple of times this season, very impressed for a 15 year old, hope it was a silly mistake and he goes far in the sport, as we need young British talent
-
Aston boughen is a talent not 16 till August, also got a lot in common with Cammie knickers, both like throwing toys out of prams
-
Thankfully an early call off, the comets supporters bus got as far as Penrith, then turned back, 25 disappointed comets fans, but cud av been worse and called off once we got there
-
Coming down on the comets bus, for my 1st visit to mildenhall, could be a close meeting and could go either way, hope the thunderstorms stay away UTC
-
Also as Mr boughen left the arena with his toys behind him, the fans who pay good money, had to witness 3 X 3 rider races, and miss out seeing a very good young prospect in Mr boughen BUT this episode may go against him in the future, hopefully will have learnt by his mistake
