Hi bit of a rant, I've got a few days off in late may, went onto fixtures page on said website only to find a message " get ready something really cool is coming ". !!! How the hell can anyone plan a few days away to watch speedway, yes I could go back and forth via the clubs website's but this is a bit of a faff, looks like 3 clubs are going to miss out on my money, due to the controlling body not having an active fixtures page !!

Diamonds 85 totally get your point, in the past I often decided in the morning I'd watch some speedway so took myself off in the car from Workington, enjoyed the crack at whichever track I'd go and go home. Now with the price of petrol and admission and food, I don't know when I will next see some speedway ( got GP tickets for Warsaw and all booked for Cardiff ) that's why I subscribed to the live stream service can get my fix that way.

Yea it's in your blood you have to keep going and watch your team, was hard going 80-81 for the comets but we still turned up, till it closed at the end of 81. Get it money is tight for a lot of people, but if you can keep going as I'm afraid this time at Newcastle they won't be a second chance of keeping the diamonds alive,

Watched the stream last night and thought Newcastle were poor, couple of positives but not many. One thing that puzzled me was after the many tape offences the guilty riders just sat at pits gate, I saw no sign of the Newcastle team manager telling them what is happening or encouraging them !! Seems strange it's as if ALL the team is disjointed, if this is so, it's gonna be a very long season, that's if they survive, because as I see it a lot of diamonds fans won't like watching this team. And it won't encourage me to travel over from the west !!

Get a new phone Geoff opened on me tablet.ok Yes the Tigger is not very big, but to me looks like some of the polish team suits, can see it being sold as a top or tee shirt to make money

With the re selling of returned tickets looks like the GP has been given the go ahead to build the track just got to decide if I am going ? Uncertain due to the nearby Ukrainian situation !!

Wow that's a big increase !! Got my tickets for early £40 ish on bend 2 lower tier now £55 + booking fee glad I bought early, at these prices can't see their being a mad rush to buy tickets

Honestly John it all went on in the past !! At one time you could take your own egg to the dump, that meant all sorts of under hand things going on, from pot eggs to eggs covered in nail polish etc. To stop it getting out of hand the club/pub boiled the eggs ( in onion skins to make them brown ) then sold them to make the pot. glad you enjoyed the traditions of West Cumbria marra . Neil Ps as Geoff said speedway is in your blood don't give it up. Just turn up in disguise so you won't be recognised

Can't beat a good egg dump !!! In the distant past when said clubs were full of miners and farmers lots of betting done on egg dumps , so you can imagine all the carrying on when money was at stake

Just popped in to view some comments, regarding Mr Lawson's long hair, think in the past used to be a rule saying hair had to be kept inside the Helmut, looks like this rule is long gone as the said person would have needed a helmet 3 sizes bigger

Hopefully the only travelers will be fans from miles around coming to witness the rebirth of the comets

As previously said on these pages they are hoping to run some open meetings this year, been penciled in for a under 15 round, then hopefully a full league the following year. A lot will depend on weather/finance

Yea had a walk down on Saturday red shale down on 7/8 ths of the track, and from the viewing banks it feels like you are floating over the track, has great potential !!

Give see tickets a call or email, but if you can't remember getting a confirmation email or reference number when you book, they may have been a clitch and unfortunately your tickets may not have been processed !! Have you looked in your junk email ?

Try asking the nearest toddler to you as they seem to manage tablets/computers etc

£20 on the nite if I'm going to come from comets land it's God knows what in petrol once the season starts, so looks like monarch's and most teams won't get traveling fans, looks like streaming the way to go

Jet2 are limited to krakow so if flights /holidays only partly sold you pull the plug until summer season, also at the moment you need to covid test 24 hours before arrival, the others wizz air, easyJet etc serve big cities so flights will be more full, but what is happening not very far away is a worry
