  1. I think a pirates win, but with nothing riding on the bonus point who knows who will get it. I’m sure we will see a lot better racing in this leg than the first. reserves will be vital, I don’t see the Oxford boys scoring as many here as they did at home. Other than that I think the pirates can match or beat their opposite number. Interested in particular to how Bowes and Newman get on
  2. Poole were poor but, Rushen gave it 110% and I thought was impressive, sadly he’s a racer and the track was a railway. Cairns did his job, Bowes was poor.
  3. 12 points not bad considering how poor the start was. The performance was as bad as the track.
  4. Should be a good meeting, pirates stronger at reserve but Oxford perhaps stronger everywhere else(especially at home) Riss and Masters will be extremely difficult to beat and I’m sure Rowe will be fired up to prove a point. Oxford to win, Poole to keep it close and take the agg
  5. Hopefully Lawson is alright, safely through to the next round of our cup. Cooper impressive again, Newman battled. Fraser just needs to be a bit smoother, I don’t know if it’s nerves or just his style but he’s a great gater and often looks fast. Look forward to us facing a Oxford or a Glasgow
  6. Baffling decision, the standard of refereeing in the last few years is scary
  7. Echo this, I’m not even sure if it’s 4H4A for new riders anymore. I assume Poole can’t sign Newman with the attention of swapping him for Gilkes at a later date either? I’d of liked to see Gilkes, but Newman is undroppable. He’s been excellent thus far.
  8. Would be funny if we see Bowes or Newman drop to reserve
  9. They’ve done fantastic to bring in a Top number 1, possibly the best in the league. They are probably a number 5 away from competing with anyone and everyone. I hope they find one
  10. I would’ve thought having known that they’d have points to play with once Pickering average reset, they’d of had an idea on changes
  11. I haven’t dug through the averages but they’ve got so much room to strengthen, could they entice a Worrall back?
  12. Can only see a Poole win. But hopefully Scunthorpe put up a fight and we see some good racing. Do we expect the scorpions to make some early changes? With Pickering average coming down and them having points to play with now?
  13. Tough decision that will need to be made. Although Dan I’m sure has a higher ceiling, if he’s not fit enough to ride now I don’t see him getting to 100% in the coming months. Newman has been fantastic and in my opinion is undroppable. But he’s got a few more meetings to keep doing what he’s doing.
  14. In Zachs defence, he wasn’t going to do championship and only did it after a bit of extra persuading after the Anders situation. Maybe the promise that they’d be much more lenient in allowing him to miss meetings, as the championship this season, is rightfully the bottom of his priorities
  15. He scored 6 from 4 rides there last year riding at 3. But the Plymouth team on that day was horrendous. Littered with guests. He’s done a good job guessing for us in the past, Sedgman would’ve been my choice with his meeting PP. I don’t think 4 points will be enough but hoping for a surprise
  16. Did anyone have a better view of the 2 incidents last night? looked to me in the first one that Toby would’ve been deemed the cause of the stoppage and therefore excluded, Richard looked to off been just ahead on the outside. Was surprised Richard was thrown out of the rerun. With the Cooper one I can see why Cooper was excluded. But again he did look ahead, but probably overly eager. Best wishes to Toby and hope to see him ride again this season.
  17. Assuming it’s back to 7:30 start. 6pm I’m sure you’d get a space, and worst case scenario you’d be directed into the school car park, I usually get there closer to 7 and have never not been able to park in the main car park or school.
  18. Assuming the Poole management would already have a plan for Zach tomorrow, is it R/R or is there a guest to come in?
  19. But the poor neighbours have finally built a competitive team. Which is good. It’ll all come down to which riders have put in the most effort over winter in order to hit the ground running. From Poole I only know of Zach, Kyle and Will having meetings, is Bowes 100% fit? Hopefully the tracks good, the racing is competitive and the pirates win!
  20. Can someone explain to me why his average isn’t 8.0? 8.2 minus the British reduction is 7.995 which of course rounds up to 8. Is it so they can have him and Jepperson? I’ve got no problem with him being at Worky and I wouldn’t want him out of a job. But I do disagree with reducing a riders average so a team can fit them in. I know it’s only 0.01 and I know that they’ll likely have points spare on their team overall. But just wondering if I’ve missed something.
  21. Not strictly Poole related, but glad to see Ben Cook still in British speedway with him back at Kingslynn next year. If Poole were to ever move back up would certainly hope he’d be one of the first names on the team sheet
  22. Poole have signed a fantastic rider so people have to start talking about the track, a track that has some of best racers around come back year after year, Holder Ward BenCook Harris. The track talk is boring, and is only a topic as Poole tweaked it to benefit them vs Glasgow
