Same here with my team. I need to know what I'm paying for first.
-
Nicki Pedersen Chris Holder to Ipswich imo if our ownership situation doesn't get sorted this month.
-
Surely Hans won't be as bad in 2023 as he was in 2022? Riding the Plymouth circuit every week certainly didn't help matters imo.
-
Holder and Worrall really are 50/50 coin flips imo. Said it all winter that I cant see Holder riding for Peterborough if Buster is still the owner, I don't think Tomalin wants Worrall at all tbh, Richie to Panthers is the classic Buster Chapman move where he flip flops riders between KL and Peterborough after one year or after they've been sacked mid season. Safest rider at this moment in time is probably Hans Andersen but even he's not a lock imo.
-
It's defo down to Buster & Tomalin wanting different riders imo, Once we know who the owner is going to be then team building will finish at a rapid pace imo. Riders would've been signed by now if Buster & Tomalin both wanted the same 1-7 imo.
-
It’s understood that they want to have contracts for all three riders for the remaining places fully completed before releasing any further information. New star Cook ready to serve up a treat for Peterborough Panthers fans, plus season ticket info | Peterborough Telegraph (peterboroughtoday.co.uk)

Anybody else losing all hope / confidence now? We don't know who our owner is going to be. We still don't have a guaranteed future after this year (I can't see Tomalin buying the club until the clubs future is secure) We cant name a full 1-7 due to Buster/Tomalin possibly wanting a different 1-7, I think Buster doesn't want Chris Holder due to the 2017 KL situation and I think Tomalin doesn't want Richie Worrall as Richie strikes me as a Buster Chapman signing.

Would be, Michael has been a fan of the sport for many years now. He's certainly committed to the sport.

Book a flight to Amsterdam, You'll be spoilt for choice then

How likely is a sale at this point on a scale of 1-10? Taking into account that the club have already put out a press release 11 days ago regarding Tomalin stepping up by joining the backroom team and applying for a Promoters license? Tomalin did say the following in the press release which doesn't hint at Buster going anywhere yet imo (Obviously things may have changed since then) “I have a terrific relationship with Buster (Keith Chapman – club owner), Dale (Allitt) and Carl, and I’m sure we will work well as one team building a future for the Peterborough Panthers!

Tomalin -> I was never going to go against Tomalin's comments considering he's one of the people who's involved in team building. However he's made some very far fetched statements as of late when referring to club signings so it's worth noting, If NKI is world class and Jenkins is sensational then maybe he does believe that Hans Andersen has more left in the tank and stuff to a point where he could roll back the years again? Gasser -> We've had a lot of riders in and out from week to week (Every linked rider has been doing the Hokey Cokey at some point) but only one account has remained adamant on the same 1-7 all winter, Literally hasn't budget despite any new rumour that does the rounds before getting shot down with immediate effect. We've been heavily linked with 4 riders (Holder, Tungate, Worrall and Andersen) Everyone is in sync regarding Tungate being out due to nobody willing to spanner for him because of his personality so by the process of elimination it leaves Holder, Worrall and Andersen. Riders talk, Mechanics talk, Sponsors talk etc. so the chance of a surprise signing being kept under wraps that nobody knows about is minimal, Not even a big six Premier League football club can keep transfer dealings under wraps and out of the public eye so what chance has a British Speedway club got lol. Flappy -> Some people have doubted him and accused him of throwing Darts but I think he's telling the truth too, We're currently in the process of a takeover and I cant imagine for a second that Buster wants the same 1-7 as Tomalin (Chris Holder and potentially Richie Worrall), Buster went public with his opinion on Chris Holder attitude at KL in 2017 and he replaced him with Josh Auty which is a case of get him out by all means even if I cant get a bang average rider in as a replacement. My personal opinion -> I don't like it at all and I don't want it as I think it's worse than last years side but as it stands things are pointing towards Holder, Worrall and Andersen starting the season unless we can catch a lucky break in the next 5/6 weeks. I'm still hoping that somebody steps up to spanner for Tungate (A situation that's out of the clubs hands) or a couple of EU riders make themselves available at the eleventh hour.
-
I remember you saying to me that Tomalin genuinely thinks it's a good side, Being 2.30 under the limit was a very tough sell for anyone to buy into imo. However considering some of the claims that Tomalin has made in recent weeks like 'Young Sensational racers' as well as referring to NKI as World Class and branding Jenkins the best rising star in the league it now makes the unthinkable 2.30 under the limit side actually believable because all of those claims are way off the mark. Who's Tomalin referring to with the 'Young Sensational Racers' claim when Ben Cook and Jordan Jenkins don't even have a years worth of Premiership experience combined, We've got 1 in Ben Basso but Tomalin said Racers and not Racer. World Class is a description you would use for riders like Janowski, Zmarzlik etc. Everyone knows that Leon Flint is the best RS in the league as well (His Championship average is head and shoulders above the rest)
-
Michael Tomalin has referred to NKI as World Class as well as calling Jenkins the best rising star in the league this winter so going 2.30 under the limit wouldn't even be a shock to me now after those statements tbh considering they're way off the mark. Have to ask ourselves a question here and that's why has Tomalin even opened talks with Richie Worrall if he doesn't want him? Surely if you don't want a rider then you wouldn't even bother opening talks with them? Too me this screams desperation on the clubs behalf and it's relying on a big hitter making themselves available at the eleventh hour, If that doesn't happen then it's going to be Gasser90's team by default imo because we've not been linked with anyone else other than Tungate and he's 100% out apparently due to nobody willing to spanner for him. Nothing gets kept a secret in this day and age because everybody talks so it's unlikely that we've got a surprise name lined up that nobody knows about. We're up against it here imo, Everything is clear now and it's a race against time. The club's hope -> No.1 + Holder & Andersen The club's next best hope -> HL/Tungate + Holder & Andersen The club's default solution if the above doesn't happen -> Holder, Worrall & Andersen
-
I don't think it's for us that's for sure. I think we're going 2.30 under the limit if Tomalin buys the club because Michael clearly wants Holder in the side, @Gasser90 has stuck with the same 1-7 all winter and it just looks a formality at this point imo. Is Anders Rowe on the RS list? If yes then someone has probably dropped out at another Prem club and they've signed Anders as the replacement.
-
Anders Rowe is riding in the UK this season and his Championship average is too high to fill any of the remaining team places left in the Championship.
-
It's tough to get a team place when you've burnt bridges with most clubs.
-
Agree.
-
Dudek because Emil wouldn't have raced competitively for almost 2 years. Both could be a bit hit or miss over here though imo considering they both lack experience on British tracks.
-
Tomalin wouldn't buy into a business that doesn't have a future imo. Tomalin is wise enough to have a contract signed that guarantees Peterborough's future from 2024 onwards before sealing any deal to buy the club off Buster.
-
It's clearly fake but just to continue the conversation, Dudek certainly won't be signing for a British club at his prices even though he wanted to ride over here. Nobody can afford to pay that kind of money and the Polish boys don't budge on their asking price because they don't need British Speedway money considering they sign Polish deals worth over half a million GBP.
-
Not us that's for sure. We've been heavily linked with the following 5 riders Nicki P, C. Holder, Tungate, R. Worrall & Andersen. So the final three are bound to be out of those five, One of them is a no go apparently, Maybe even two of them.
-
At least another month considering Ipswich have gone all out for the last 2 months and a deal is now the closest it's ever been with the FIM on the verge of a full U-Turn. The FIM would be sticking by their original ruling if they still believed in it, The fact that they're now considering offering Russian's neutral licenses basically says the FIM no longer believes in their original ruling. Ipswich have worked tirelessly to get this deal over the line so it makes no sense to back out when they're eventually making big progress.
-
Why would Ipswich back out of a deal for Emil when a deal is closer than it's ever been all winter?
-
No chance at 6k a night when you've got to splash out big money on Doyle's 15 point maximums almost every week. Also Ipswich are making rapid progress with Emil. Polish press are now reporting that the FIM are considering to give Russian's neutral licenses that allow them to compete all over Europe. Considering means they're on the verge of backing down and eventually they will do a full U-Turn before the season starts.
