  1. not strong enough at reserve to trouble the teams above though
  2. a relief to hear that Tate is staying upbeat and an admirably humble and thoughtful post under the circumstances i look forward to seeing him return next year, undeniably one of the hottest prospects on the scene
  3. apart from not being able to penalise riders for jumping the start
  4. being replaced by boughton for his final programmed ride was just the vote of confidence he needed from his new team manager
  5. they need a reserve who can. score points at sheffield and ipswich. he’s never seen either track and can only wind it on round the outside
  6. he’s a bit raw and his gating is not up to scratch yet. no doubt the boy has potential but not ready for the premiership judging by his performance at glasgow. bit of a desperate gamble from the aces
  7. i think this one has the potential to be a good close meeting. not sure how tungate will take to the track
  8. BSN have clarified that subscribers get another meeting. Meetings only count towards the quota if they reach heat 10. Another feather in BSN's cap,
  9. fewer tracks now mean supporters need to travel further to get their fix of live speedway. its far less investment time and money wise if you are lucky enough to live close to a track. unfortunately most travelling fans will err on the side of caution and stay home if the forecast looks dodgy.
  10. both tungate and wright had avoidable falls. boughton made a schoolboy error and kerr was badly off form. as such oxford didn’t fancy it so no effort was made to remedy the track. it was still early in the evening and a clear weather window was approaching. maybe the sparse crowd had something to do with it.
  11. maybe an scb investigation into why the track was watered so heavily is in order
  12. i hope this doesn’t count toward my quota of bsn fixtures
  13. maybe they shouldn’t have watered the track!!!
  14. why are they giving up so soon? radar looks like there is drier weather on the way
  15. if oxford want to call this off they should forfeit the meeting
  16. dan bewley has the advantage of the british final being ridden on his home track every year
