  1. It was always on the cards as soon as he said he was returning to our shores. Never going anywhere else. Quite a potent reserve pairing of Sedgeman (5.33) & Bailey (3.11) as their 3* Rising Star.
  2. Yes, definitely an issue that he has had before, struggled with it then later had an operation to fix it.
  3. A bit too early to answer any of those questions but one other scenario would be how will the track be prepared? Plenty of dirt similar to the Newcastle meeting or similar to last week with it being a similar start time, although no Stock cars night before & not hardly any amount of rain so a perfect track surface should be on show. Me, personally, prefer more dirt!
  4. Just read the Regulations v2 again & in 012.2 Team Composition A Championship declaration must not exceed 38 point limit to include a 3* riders or 39 points with a 2* rider or below in any declaration following the issue of established MA’s for 2021, except where the MA of the introduced rider is equal or below the rider being replaced. Adam Ellis's CMA is an "Amended MA" by conversion factor 1.5. His established MA for the Championship will occur after 4H & 4A.
  5. But it has been enforced as we re-declared over 38 but had to lose our team * rating.
  6. But we have made a one rider change & our limits have changed (3* to 2*). That could hamper us on Sunday if Palin has problems on his return from Europe. It could also have hampered us by using an illegal guest in Coles last night if the * rating was incorrect.
  7. Just looked at the new averages for 1st July & Glasgow's stick out. Initial declaration under 38 at 37.66 so allowed & using 3* rider. New average now at 40.29 so if they had to replace a rider through injury, they would lose 2.29 to keep a 3*(Thomas) or 1.29 & replace with a 2*. The initial declaration is the guide line. After this averages change & the line moves. Surely!
  8. So, going by 1 of my previous posts, if we had a 3* rider he would of had to be replaced otherwise we could not sign Ellis. If, also, we had started poorly or average & not increased our team average by 0.56 so the rules are ignored, too complicated or misinterpreted. Such a simple sport. (Crumps average decreased for2021 compared to 2020, Cook's use of May average even though he rode in May & was due a new average from 1st June & signed in June, Redcar issue with postponed fixture but ruling not applied to previous years, and the list goes on ...........)
  9. He took a few days off & did not ride for us on the Sunday.
  10. There has been a couple of possible heat changes of riders not picked up by Monarchs website so line ups & number of rides by riders probably are wrong. All in all, we put up a good fight.
  11. Not what we wanted in heat 12(3-3). Still only 4 behind so hope for a point but big guns out in 13 & 15.
  12. Ouch for TJ. Rode in his next ride but obviously not quite right. Theo takes his next ride as IRR(although updates says r/r
  13. It would be better on the Monarchs website if they put the comment of the race in between the line up & result of each race similar to heat 1.
  14. Hope TJ is ok as updates says "fell & came down heavily". We will see in a few minutes if he has shook himself down & he is ok or if something worse(hope not)
  15. Sorry, we are typing & posting at the same time.
  16. I see it has changed due to the re-declaration to bring in Ellis but what if scenario occurred where a teams initial declaration was under 38 & using a 3* "Rising Star". The team then perform well taking their combined average to around 40. They then get a rider injured (5.50 CMA) who has to be replaced. Who do they then replace him with? A 5.50 rider but keeping the 3* RS? A 4.50 rider but have to also change the RS to 2*
  17. Our initial declaration was only 35.26 so it gave us the option to use a 3* or lower but we had already committed to using Palin in 2020
  18. Guessing based on reading a rider could earn £2k a few years ago £150 per point or a guarantee plus £60-80 per point.
  19. Either of the Thompsons, Gilkes or Jenkins could be options if there are issues with Palin returning in time. The 3pm start time does not help.
  20. The other week there was a pairs meeting where Kemp, Rowe & Gilkes were involved. The following day there was a Championship meeting where Kemp rode(he flew back) & Gilkes didn't(he drove back) as didn't want to mix with others. Wasn't Kemp quarantined (self isolate) shortly after.
  21. WOW, what a meeting. All 15 from the gate & barely half a dozen passes in 15 heats.
  22. It is not a new rule, not a covid rule but an old rule still used & is evident in my old 2015 Regulations booklet.
  23. £25 per point as a no1 in NDL £50-70 per point as a rising star in Premiership That was what I was gauging it on but I did say "maybe".
  24. Even though this is a new thread replacing the other one, food is available in the clubhouse & payment at entrance is allowed, leaving name & contact details.
