Has there been an issue with the SS getting to the news teams? No mag this morning.
-
Maybe there has been checks on tyres at all tracks(Peterborough in the press) & at these 4 tracks they have been harder on wear with more complaints from riders. Just putting it out there as a guess!

Poland ................ Friday/Sunday Berwick(H) ......... Saturdays Wolves ............... Monday/Thursday Berwick(A) ........ Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday He will certainly need his travel planner in order but he might be with ATPI being in the Great Britain set up.

Agree. Good luck to the lad that he has made to progress in the sport. He has now turned his back on a level where he was averaging nearly 11.4(scoring 13-15 points per meeting) earning maybe £350-£400 as heat leader to move to a level where he might score 2-3 points earning £150. It just shows, for some riders, it is not about the pay day but a willingness to progress to another level.

20.06.2021 3pm - Scorpions v Glasgow plus BYC

In the stand before the start & the P.A. system is still crap. Even the "newest" one in the car park doesn.t work now. -
Scorpions sign Adam Ellis
IronScorpion replied to OdsalBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I have said this previously but Josh is not a no1 but better at 5 after the track has started evolving. We now have a true no1 similar to 2018 but hope we do not suffer the same bad luck. Edinburgh is a technical track but can we keep it tight with their big guns of Masters & Worrall but we are not using r/r or guest for a rider that seems to breakdown en route to Edinburgh. Happy hunting guys & I would be happy to pick up a point(48-42) -

I would think that the issue is not personally with Jittendra & Rob otherwise he could have blocked his own rider from guesting for us yesterday. -

The ruling was from the SCB & not the BSP Ltd in which Jittendra has said was the SCB. -
British Youth Championship
IronScorpion replied to eric i's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
It might have been youth racing but the twitter page said British Youth at 5pm when main meeting at Newcastle was at 4pm(you will NEVER get a meeting done in 60 minutes). They then had the result of the Youth meeting held at Scunthorpe so my original post was correct & the British Speedway twitter had it wrong. Thank you! -

Well, a lot of us did not see that result coming but what an end to another entertaining meeting with Glasgow capitulating at the end with a few dummies being spat out for heat 15 with their choice of riders( Managers decision to get the right riders with a point at stake even if they have to use different bikes). A poor showing by Glasgow's top riders & manager. Allen an excellent choice of guest, which I thought he would be, but when at the back in the first heat was always going to be filled in on a wet track with no one veering off the inside line. The track looked like it was prepared different to last week with a lot of shale on the landing strip in the centre green. This was probably due to the stock cars on Saturday night & more expected rainfall due that didn't fall. This led to the track not being moist enough with a lot of dust evident even after a light watering, which happened several times. As regards the new no 1, pleased but also sad as Auty is "Mr Scunthorpe" but if he gets his fitness back & head right(tyre issues), we might see him back this year but the other riders are doing enough to keep or improve their averages at the moment. What will Ellis average in the Championship as he would need to perform similar to Masters to keep his converted 9.74 ish average. -

You also have to take in to account the condition of the track & track preparation time. -

It will not be Steve Worrall as he has already been announced that he is guesting for Newcastle at home against Leicester on the same day. I would think & hope most Scorpion fans would be happy if we got Jake Allen. -

In Polish speedway, a "second string" is often used as no1 as they have there 1-5 in any order. -

I agree. Let the rising stars develop at their own pace, protected, similar to Poland rather than possibly destroying their confidence once they move into the main body. They should move up the star ratings each year depending on how they performed. -
Think you would get good odds on Glasgow ditching Smith if Bailey comes back over soon.

Another Argentinian, Carlos Eber Ampugnani, apparently flew in a week ago & raced in the World U21 Qualifier at Gustrow yesterday.
