This could be another tough one as riders seem to get some form against Scunthorpe as in Gappmaier's away form, here, last week & Clegg scoring well in his home meeting last Sunday. Judging by the tv meeting Monday, Nicholls is riding well, Starke had his best meeting & we know what Gilkes can do. We just do not want Heeps to score much. Will there be a change in the Scunthorpe ranks with posters on here mentioning Macdonald but he did have a bad one the other week so his confidence could have took a knock but, as I & others have mentioned, you can not take your eyes off him as he does not look in control & an incident is bound to happen. We could bring Kinsley back but could we wait until around the 6th of August after Ellis has, hopefully, his 4th home meeting to get a true average.

His 4th home meeting is not until Redcar on 13th August!

Scunthorpe got the maximum they could ............... 3pts for the win. We do NOT want to go back to the old style 2pts for win, 3pts for win by 8? or more, suiting technical tracks or unfair track preparation. Berwick deserved their point.

A well deserved point in all honesty with Gappmaier a real surprise for many in our stand Adam Ellis still to find a decent set up so could do with a bit of practice time. The track did not do us any favours, though, with the inside line fastest as the meeting progressed.

You only had to follow the "diversion signs" & travel north to the Meadowhall junction then come back down the M1 South (approximate 3 miles out of your way!)

Any assessed or rising star without an average will get an average after their 4H 4A meetings & move around accordingly. The higher rising stars with an average will probably move as per their rolling average. There has been team averages in the SS this last few weeks but mainly Premiership. The BSPA (now BSP Ltd) site used to have the rolling averages + bonus & year average which was quite informative.

Edinburgh's initial declaration was under 38 so was given a 3* maximum limit so as far as I am aware, you are allowed that change. We were, also, under 38 but re declared over the 38 limit so we had to reduce our rating limit from 3* to 2*. Any other changes in your riding order will be like for like(average wise) plus anything spare up to the 38 limit.

More down to riding technical tracks knowing that if you gate you don't have to keep looking over your shoulders for riders to pass you.
