  1. Race times based on someone with a stop watch. Here is an example to ignore them https://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/20267/redcar-championship-25-07-21?page=1&scrollTo=409124 heat 15 compared to the rest of the meeting but probably just a txt/typing error.
  2. I think the ruling was brought in based on the fact, cough cough, Redcar had to use an NL 3 average guest for their no1 but this new amendment of 25% less is more appropriate & covers all riders.
  3. and finally (secretly) Flint moves in to the main body 1-5
  4. Ellis average was expected to drop but he was brought in for his away scoring which he has done. It is just his home scoring which could improve & see him nearer 8.5. Pijper has done an awesome job & has increased his initial average by 1.06 which does not include 17 bonus points protecting his partner in front. Aarnio & Jorgensen, by contrast, have increased by 0.05 & 0.43 respectively. While Auty was struggling with set ups with the new tyres, admitted by Peet, Lambert was scoring more than expected reaching above 6(an increase on around 1 point) but his scoring has been lowered, slightly, riding with a true no1, which, no offence to Auty who is still a heat leader but not at no1. Also, Lambert has been an excellent captain with team spirit probably as high as never been seen.
  5. But it could be prepared similar rather than a normal bald, blue groove practice with no grading. I am sure Rob would do something.
  6. I wonder if Adam Ellis will be up here for track practice(set ups & racing lines) in the next few days, probably Thursday & stay around for Friday, even with TJ who , I think, are not involved in meetings. With Poole's top 3 knowing their way round the EWR & Stefan pretty good as well, we have to be on top of our game.
  7. 012.3.1. Rising Star Regulations – to be inserted on page 112 Rising Star riders can only compete in 2 leagues at any one time. So can someone tell me how he was allowed to guest in the Premiership as he is in the Leicester Cubs & Lions teams in 2 different leagues ( and everyone knows you can only be in one place at a certain time)?
  8. I posted this earlier on this thread so why is it sour grapes? I expected us to lose!
  9. A full meeting is 15 heats not 7, 8 or 9 as no points are given at this stage. Did you have to doctor the track, mid meeting, as other posters have alluded to in previous meetings meaning your lads get ripped up starts or the away riders get the wet ones or even knowing roughly the set ups required to finish off a meeting. We struggled to find a decent guest at no1, as we have previously said on this thread, who this year is averaging about 7.5 but his bigger scores have come in away meetings. The use of r/r using the other 2 heat leaders & 2nd strings were NEVER going to make up for his loss. A win is a win but a hollow one as this was probably expected by 85%+ of posters that follow speedway on this forum.
  10. From what I remember it was down to covid restrictions & self isolating on their return if they did go.
  11. Tough to get a guest as 4 northern teams riding Friday & Sunday so travel for riders would be at risk. Leicester v Poole means other potential guests unavailable. Nicholls raced there last Sunday. I was hoping for a weather call off but even the Gods are not kind so can see a good thumping 55-35 to 60-30. As eric I has said, riders might be seeing the fence or the ground a few times with Palin struggling on a few of the tighter turning tracks, even when guesting.
  12. Scott Nicholls rode as the oppositions no1 last week & I think the guesting rule only applies to home no1's when riding again within the 7 or 8 day period. Ben Barker has similar issues to CC, UO & SM as at Redcar & Newcastle Friday & Sunday although he does like to travel over the years. Great guest where ever he has been. Riss could be an option as he is due there with Birmingham on 7th Aug so would give himself track time.
  13. I think this is the case for most heat leaders/2nd strings that move to no1 as heat 1 favours the inside line(both teams no2's if they gate) & rides against mainly heat leaders(no1 & no5 twice & 3/4 once) & not the easier rides against 2nd string & reserves. Jorgensen, for example, is not as free scoring as he was earlier this season.
  14. I have not started many topics myself & it was a while ago but I think if you click on the topic heading & hold, an edit box appears with the title inside. Scroll across & edit as required If wrong, others might be able to help. sorry.
  15. It depends. Tapeworm always does this type of topic to glorify Glasgow. If they slip up or another team improves, there will be NO update.
  16. If the housing application gets passed (hope not) & knowing Brandon Estates history in similar matters, I wonder what will be built first? The houses or the sports pitch & pavilion? Again, going by BE history, houses would be built then a new application put in citing other areas for social use & more houses needed in the area.
  17. If his rolling average is above Kyle's 3.35 then he would have moved above him, positional wise, in the recent(issue 10) green sheet averages( unless his 2019 CMA is based on 4H 4A plus the meetings this year which might mean he has not reached the criteria of 20 meetings for a rolling average(if that rule is applicable))
  18. which goes against your profile interests of "Interests: sport, sport, and more sport but not Speedway "
  19. NeilWatson pointed out a certain fact on another thread about the movement of riders on the SpeedwayGB Championship averages page in that our own J Palin has moved up from 7th to 6th in our numerical CMA's. If I have this correct, Leon Flint has rode quite a few Championship meetings, scoring well but not moved in to the main body yet. His 4th away meeting was at Scunthorpe & now having ridden in 6 home meetings(5th being at home to Newcastle on 3rd July & 6th being at home to Edingburgh on 10th July), he should have been given a new average 7 days after the Scunthorpe meeting, his 4H 4A stats are 51R 75P 5.88 CMA which would put him above Andersen. Should Leon have been riding in the main body(1-5) against Edinburgh, both meetings?
  20. To verify what exactly or just to knock Speedway which is a sport you now have no interest in.
  21. It is what Hans wanted from us before we signed Ellis, £2k
  22. Comparing this to Leicester's changes is similar, Government, Brexit, paperwork/visa issues. The difference being Leicester signed Andersen then realised there was an issue with Kennedy. They could then have used a NDL rider not declared in a P or CL side but decided to re-declare with another rider knowing it was short term. Poole, however, were given short term dispensation so could only use the r/r facility available.
  23. Now it is not on the Speedway GB website, it is quite handy looking at the averages page giving ongoing CMA's & present yearly averages. Helps us, or some of us, posters try to work out possible guests on current form. http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/lionsstatistics21 An excellent piece which should be on everyone's website and/or in their programmes.
