  1. It is not just the hotels but the likes of Travelodge & Premier Inn do similar.

  4. Vissing & now Andersen makes you wonder if more riders could drop out & reading the Redcar news, it seems British based riders are required. What of our own riders as we have 3 in this criteria. TJ, I think, is based in England but has foreign commitments. Aarnio I am not sure but think I have seen his name in a foreign team squad. Pijper, even with his 2 lads racing, I am not sure where he is now based, but has long track/grass track commitments.
  5. This situation must be different to another Dane you have in your team(M Palm-Toft) as he must be based in England having 2 British teams.
  6. This was an area I posted on about 3 or 4 years ago to try & eliminate or cut down the use of guests. With riders having more races they could potentially earn more & the fans to have more of a "home" team feel. If a rider was absent then you dispense with the R/R rule but use the IIR rule instead where 2 riders above & below the missing rider could take the extra rides which would be a more balanced replacement. A no7(as a no8 now) must be named to take the reserve riders place when necessary.
  7. Rob has history in not bowing down to rider demands. A few seasons ago when we needed another rider, this rider apparently wanted this & this & Rob said this is what I can afford & if you need more make it up your own way with personal sponsorship. If you want to ride for Scunthorpe this is what I can pay. This, also, was mentioned to a few possible guest appearances for other riders.
  8. I would tend to agree with this scenario as probable issues with Klindt & possibly others flying in & out of the country on higher than normal air fares plus the covid restrictions could mean places become available in the Premiership.
  9. I only hope Rob has this rider nailed on & signed, even though that could change, but I have an (un gentleman) feeling that Poole(renowned for changing riders at the drop of a hat) could drop Keleher & Cook & sign both Macdonald & Kennedy whom both performed better in Australia this last winter.
  10. If it is a toss up between J Macdonald or Z Kennedy I would probably veer towards Kennedy.
  11. ???? positive or negative? It is also on the news about being able to have rapid testing kits out twice a week.
  12. If you have had a jab, you already have a passport. It is the card they give you!
  13. Is that for group(large numbers) rather then private(small numbers)
  14. I am sure I have read somewhere that S Nicholls has booked a midlands track for Kent to practice on. Being an ex rider, I would say that it is the Leicester track.
  15. Rob Godfrey has had to use his high status figure head to finally find a rider to replace Jake Allen although, it has restrictions in place. The said rider is J Garrity which will not go down with some on here, but it is with the proviso that he travels from his "home", tagged & with a guard in a standard vehicle. All his operational gear will be maintained at the club & will travel from the EWR , when required. His attendance is based on him being able to travel "home" before midnight. On the proviso where this is not possible, IIR can & may be used. Another option which was looked in to was the possibility of signing Maksym Drabik, as he is still unable to ride to ride in Poland due to the use of a banned substance. This, however, is still under review as it was an IV drip given & authorised by his club doctor. As far as we are aware, under ACU rules, he can still ride in another country but under their Governing Body. Note; IIR translates to irate inmate replacement
  16. "Playing devils advocate what say we run rider replacement to see May out run down the averages (its likely to happen naturally) then bring in BWD in June ? That might just be the solution and we get a 110% committed racer and No1. " Quoting part of your post, what happens if Palin increases his average to around 4-5 thus eliminating the change due to other dropping. Can anyone tell us what happens to the rising stars as it only says, in both leagues, teams must build teams to a certain level plus a rising star at he start of a season. Once the season has started, do they remain protected & stay at no7? Say, as in Leicester's case, they have 2 rising stars so could they swap? Once a rising star gets a true average, can he then move up to the other reserve berth or even higher, into the main body? Can any one on here answer these questions truthfully rather than surmising? I have not seen any thing yet on here, the BSP Ltd site or the SCB site.
  17. So why was Crump's average reduced from 8.21(in 2020 declarations) to 8.00 for this year even though he has ridden in a few of the meetings in Australia this last winter.
  18. If that is the case then probably over 80% of riders in the Championship are entitled to a reduction.
  19. Go back to the top of page 43 & you might find something. Better still, as a Plymouth fan , here it is "I have just had a scan through the archives & BWD has a Championship average from 2018 BUT rode in the Premiership in 2019 so that will be his most recent average to be used, which was 5.47. This, converted by 1.5 for Championship racing gives 8.21. we only have 7.73 in total to play with. With him being a New Zealander, I am not sure if he is entitled to a reduction even though he rode in the NDL."
  20. Poland have a squad system yet last year they were allowed to use guests from the lower league.
