  1. It is still a 1.5 conversion so Starke will be 4.27 Note, just noticed over the 35.5 limit so does British concessions apply?
  2. ...... & the Plymouth riders tyres lasted better, as they got 4 x 5-1's in the last 4 races. Not long ago, Scott Nicholls said that the bikes need a different set up to suit the new tyres.
  3. It is on your own website if you look with your eyes open as it clearly states in Ticket Office, 2021 Admission Prices, Adult £17. Please be aware there is an additional £1 online booking fee added to the admission price.
  4. Looking at the photos on the scunny website of Friday's meeting T, 3 photos show him on GM's.
  5. But race times are on a par with previous years, even dropping below 60 in heat 6!
  6. I am not sure on this but doesn't a team get 7 new tyres & if using r/r, the spare gets passed around. Also in the rules it says you have to have 1 new Anlas tyre (marked with white line) & 1 old Mitas tyre up until a certain date(this may soon change)
  7. heard rumours that he spent approx. £2k on clutch & spare parts with the threat of scoring double points over him. Plus, he even said after last weeks 6 non finishers in 7 rides, he deserved the criticism & should do better.
  8. Another difficult home meeting for us & I expect it to be tight.(47-43 either way, hard to call but we don't want a last heat decider against Kerr & Lawson). We have had a difficult last week but hope the riders have got their issues sorted. Auty ......... injured knee & no1 bike damaged Jorgy ........winded last night in a heavy fall Aarnio ...... machinery issues Palin ......... no1 bike returned to pits in tractor bucket at Belle Vue Monday
  9. I didn't think we had a weak assembled team with Jake in & we have only made the 1 change & signed Josh. I did think we had strength in depth, proved against Plymouth without the big hitting heat leaders. We have then got beat by a very good Leicester side & a Berwick side where too many last places, evident by falls, ef's costing us dearly. Tero has had meetings abroad as well as the 2 here so should be doing better.
  10. Assistant Press Manager ....................... DO YOUR STUFF AND DROP THE HINT! Rob made a quick change before with Jedd List but would he do the same with Tero? I have a feeling, & other posters have mentioned this, that this year is about racing & not winning!
  11. Probably best to park on the industrial site where some cars park on the road side but open spaces as well. ( turn left at circle not right towards stadium & car park).
  12. On Sunday, I hung around a bit in the stadium to let the stampede out, about 10 minutes, then ventured to my car & left the car park. There were only 2 or 3 cars at the traffic lights & they changed to green straight away. If you are coming to Scunthorpe via the M181, on using the orbital road then up the hill & if you have google maps or tomtom, turn left at the circle up the hill & go round the industrial site(fairly easy). As you approach the circle on Normanby Road, some people park their cars there & take the short walk(approx. 150m) to the stadium.
  13. I wonder if he will be bringing a brown envelope back on his return.
  14. He put his bike in the right place at the right time & we could not find a way past. Great experience & using the blue groove that appeared around heat 9 or 10 to great use.
  15. On the Scunthorpe v Plymouth thread that Leon Flint is pencilled in for Plymouth's next meeting.
  16. Shame it was not a little more as it would have been nice to have got Jake in at 7.26. The ruling on the rising star is from what is remaining in your initial declaration. Even in our team, if J Palin is unavailable, we are allowed a replacement of up to & including a 3* rating.
  17. With having an almost 360 degree viewing area for the fans(barring the pits) & having meetings last year, our council have given us a maximum attendance of 1000 so it gives us a bit of freedom for those that choose, at the last minute, to decide to attend.
  18. The band of rain forecast from the South West has been on the radar for the last few days & is due to stay for today & tomorrow so I expect a few more cancelations.
  19. Hand picked the better races which is probably half a meeting. It was, also, their 1st meeting.
  20. If the normal rules apply, all riders that have an average and ridden in meetings from the 17th to 23rd inclusive will be updated on the 1st June.
  21. Thought he had signed for Redcar not Newcastle.
