  1. quote ......... Now that other promotions have finished counting their cash from an away Cradley crowd they have decided that it shouldn't have been allowed and won't be in future - a view I don't disagree with from a credibility point of view but I'm still glad I got another year of watching my team. It looks as though unless there are significant changes to the league structure next season, or a way can be found to share Monmore and Perry Barr, we won't be back. What about the home promotions counting their cash for the last few years & even with NP in the background, still cannot find land for a track to call "home".
  2. See the twitter feed as it has nothing to do with the BSPA. It is a VISA issue http://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/page.php?4
  3. My apologies friend;). Get on one when posting this year about worky to get a reaction. Last year it was p'boro.

I have posted similar about the spokes men on the BSPA as last year it was mostly buster now it's Rob. That is why tunnel vision & rose tinted glasses are in my posts as posters sometimes forget some of the rules were set years ago & abused by themselves.

  4. Change the record Fozzie. As is said, Auty is not the only one to have received a 14 day ban.
  5. Possibly JPB last meeting for Sheffield http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/16767/sheffield-edinburgh-koc-01-2017 Still riding for Birmingham within 28 days http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/16870/birmingham-lakeside-nl-21-2017
  6. ....................if it is the latter the rider will then receive a 28 day ban. Did JPB still ride for Birmingham though
  7. Birmingham's team is the same orders as was posted on Wednesday Posted Wednesday at 12:41 PM It's a Birmingham select side for this fixture BRUMMIES: Danny Ayres, Callum Walker R/R, Jordan Jenkins, Leon Flint, Ben Morley, Josh Embleton, Sheldon Davies, Tom Spencer (Number 8 ) So what have the SCB ordered?
  8. As we all know,. the forum is about opinions & some have tunnel vision(their own team) & some see the big picture about speedway in general.
  9. .... i feel sorry for Phillps and he should probably remove himself but if i was him id stick two fingers up and Godfrey and just poodle around at the back not even trying By doing that though he is sticking 2 fingers up to his fellow riders & fans. Probably make himself unemployable in the future.
  10. True. Not quite the same scenario & Rob was not cheating to make the side stronger as any NL guest will probably have a worse average than Danny. For Danny's sake, no points means no wages. He says he still wants to help Scunthorpe but it is hurting us. He should take it on the chin, look in the mirror & stand down, similar to Shuttleworth & JPB for Sheffield. He cannot with hold his services as he would receive a 28 day ban hampering his riding for Coventry. Danny, do the right thing & stand down & concentrate on Coventry as they still have a chance of a top 4 position in the NL.
  11. Thank you. Even a number 8 should be named in case an injury in 1st meeting. Can a rider be used from Newcastle for the 2nd meeting for Workington & similar if Summers gets injured in 1st meeting.
  12. Hey Guys & Gals. Guess what I have found & who it concerns. Workington v Scunthorpe 05/08/17 Copied and pasted from the Workington Facebook page: Late on Thursday night Rob Shuttleworth informed us he was stopping riding in the SGB Championship with immediate effect. He stated that it was unaffordable for him to continue and despite many attempts to contact him to discuss the situation and offer solutions he does not wish to return the calls. Due to the team line up deadline passing we cannot replace Rob in our line up so will be using guest riders for the remainder of the season.
  13. Jenga posted this in Scunthorpe v Workington "looks like getting guests on Fridays is still hard , but looks like getting a texter is even harder ! how you going to solve this one godders ? " Seems guests are even harder on a Saturday & only 3 teams riding
  14. Why r/r when only a double header tonight ruling out 3 teams? Guests should be "ten a penny" with 8 other teams not riding!
  15. Sorry Tom. Just expected standing water at bends 1 & 3 with the amount of rain we had in Ashby.
  16. We are having the shower now, albeit, 4 miles from track & it is a bit heavy. It needs to stop so they can remove standing water & prepare track.
  17. ................ and we did you a favour by agreeing to postpone your home fixture when you had 3 riders missing. You were ok to ride on the Friday with riders missing so could have rode on the Saturday aswell. Just seems to be an issue that has been forgotten by some.
  18. At the start of the season we covered for the loss of Steve, mostly, with r/r as the riders were doing well. It was the loss of Stefan that changed matters & guests became hard to find. Having 4 meetings(in the CL) caused problems in getting guests from the CL & Riders from the PL are the same riders as most double up. The issue was probably brought up at Promoters meeting where the board of 5 members or the full compliment of promoters present would have had a say. It seems only some "keyboard warrior's" have issues through rose tinted glasses. Obviously, the problem was resolved by only allowing the 3 main Friday tracks to race on that night unless 2 tracks were involved in the same fixture allowing 1 other meeting to take place, which has happened recently & Redcar are racing Sheffield tonight.
  19. Overcast & cool with possible light shower about(natural watering) but nothing to upset the meeting. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/map/gcx8c5kxh#?map=Rainfall&fcTime=1536292800&zoom=9&lon=-0.91&lat=53.58
  20. I welcome your thoughts, & others will chip in too, & this is an honest question, are you weaker without Bewley or stronger with Aarnio? Marksman posted this earlier Tero Aarnio would be a great choice of guest for the Comets for Dan, has already scored 29+2 in 3 meetings at Scunthorpe this season including 15 when guesting for us earlier this season. The facts are that Aarnio scored 30 +2 in 2 consecutive meetings plus another 9 from 5 including a retirement(puncture) when leading. Bewley has not raced here in 2018 & only scored 5 from 4 in his only visit previously.
  21. You will still get the "twitchers" on gates 1 & 4 move to penalise gates 2 & 3
