  1. Yeah, but the reason it's like that is that the people who make the rules only think as far as the end of their nose, not the possible implications because I bet they didn't even realise the point you're making!
  2. One lap dashes would be good, or, timed laps perhaps.
  3. Oh, bore off๐Ÿ˜† it's just a sporting event not life or death. I'm being light hearted here by the way but in any event, speedway needs to make itself a bigger draw and increase viral chatter and spectacle because the racing itself doesn't do it I'm afraid.
  4. But the new people we need to get to attend wouldn't care less about points or what each team has as they may only come a few times a year and are not as invested in the results as diehard fans are, they just want to enjoy the event.
  5. From memory it was always the Belgians that provided the biggest laughs, it's a great idea ๐Ÿ˜…
  6. But does it really matter? It's supposed to be entertaining, blimey look at the absolute rubbish they have with gladiators, wwf, F1 darts and others that seem to be popular. Stattos will always moan whatever ( not aiming that at anyone in particular by the way) it's the crowd/herd that needs to be attracted through the talking points and controversy as much as through a 'great race'
  7. I think it's great, creates interest and chatter, such s this thread and you get an extra race, what's not to like!
  8. Nope, it's a chance to see another race with the top riders, adding to the value for money.
  9. Yeah, but he rode in the re-run and then took two more rides with no detriment to his scoring. He probably doesn't ride in Sweden so will be grateful for not having to travel there for Tuesday evening either....
  10. Usually if both team managers agree then it's permitted.
  11. The bet is still on for me, keeping everything crossed, ยฃ600+ if kurtz lands the title and Freddie is in top 3.
  12. PC thought it no surprise and said he was a good rider.
  13. All the riders look like clones these days, same helmets, same styles, dangling their right leg, dropping the clutch repeatedly on the start line - glad the world is embracing diversity ๐Ÿ˜
  14. Apparently the Police are using the Leicester track next week as there's less grip than on their skid pan.
  15. Ok, I'll bite. Not sure how long you've watched speedway but it's never been all about the number of passes which I've found entertaining. Of course races (before you assume I mean all, I mean some, which I can't quantify) are won from the gate, that's always been so, nothing new there. As a previous poster said, watching Bewley/Kurtz getting beaten to the first turn but then passing someone at the NSS is not really entertaining, it's expected. Watching Bewley pass two riders at Ipswich around one bend was entertaining, it wasn't expected. Equally, watching Louis/Loram/Nicholls/Howe busting a gut to pass someone at Ipswich but sometimes not pulling it off is also entertaining, but no pass was made. This is called speedway.
  16. But that's the point and what separates the really great riders from the fast but not so great. It's not impossible to pass but takes great skill and effort, not just make the bike faster.
  17. The thing that wasn't changed was the rider ๐Ÿ˜€ Can't always be out front and he's had a 6 point average for a few years for a reason.
