  1. A higher pay rate/and or closer to home/easier for travel to other things can all be reasons, it's a job after all 🙂
  2. Oh that's a shame, my wife is in Brisbane at present so I was going to ask her to pop along!
  3. Another 3 hour affair, Kurtz is on another planet to the rest. Really unusual final with Pickering and Z Cook in it due to semi final breakdowns/falls. Rew quite impressive again.
  4. I watched this this morning, have to say it seemed really drawn out, probably because they had the support classes. Ben Cook was a little unlucky I thought with an EF and a fall whilst trying to pass with a narrowing gap, two zeros affecting his score. Kurtz was the standout rider though and I've got a little flutter on him for the GPs this year. Of the others, Pickering was poor, Tungate not at the top table but Rew was making some good starts which bodes well for the Brummies.
  5. He's nowhere near ready for that level i'm afraid but his name opens doors. He might grow into it.
  6. I've been to Gorzow and unless they changed it, they don't have a roof which covers the track - the seating is mostly covered.
  7. Oh well, my GP trip is off, it's getting to be a TV only sport these days....
  8. Not quite my reading, I think with Brennan it's more that the move to Ipswich was more attractive, with the team they have he can learn from them. If Ipswich wasn't available maybe he'd have stayed at Brum. I don't know him and haven't asked him but there's other reasons why riders change clubs, not just that they don't want to be at one.
  9. Oxford pinched one of their targets?😁 Seriously though, this is disappointing for them. I was hoping they'd be nearer the top of the table next season. Is Steve Worrall not doing top league next year?
  10. I rode with him at Iwade when he must have been about 70 and he was still the same then, a master of the throttle.
  11. It always used to be a 1.5 multiplier, guess that must have changed then.
  12. There are and will continue to be clubs in Poland struggling to survive, it's not all rosy.
  13. Any many got used to them losing and didn't want to come along and witness another loss. Winning is attractive. I go simply to see good racing, no matter who wins.
  14. Don't think it's that, he's just not competent enough. British speedway is not an easy gig.
  15. I have no idea who that is. Someone said he'd ridden here before, was that at Championship level?
  16. Not for me, looks like they'll be vying for the spoon with Leicester.
  17. I thought Douglas was poor this year when I saw him so again they'll be expecting more I think.
  18. It was still an impressive night for him, just for the speed he showed. To me the stand-out rider of the meeting. It shows he's capable and it's consistency, the perennial rider challenge, that eludes him. It will be elsewhere that Leicester fall down I think, unless there's a surprise signing.
  19. Don't think Dudek would be any good in the UK. Pawlicki mk2 without the overtaking ability.
  20. If you were there you'd have seen. Was 10mph fastest than anyone else in clear air.
  21. I think they mean 8 points each meeting not every two 😄
  22. No but Lindgren was only signed late on, this time you'll have Tobi from the off so I think that makes for a better prospect at the start of the season than this year.
  23. He was fantastic at Foxhall at one of the meetings last year so Leicester will be hoping he can more like that every meeting and if he can they should be ok to mix it.
  24. A great team to start the season - I just hope we don't have too many one-sided meetings to watch.
  25. 2024 was a good year then as I think they only lost three times at home and only once by more than 8 points, I'd say they were competitive. Away from home many sides struggled at times but Lynn have never been that great on their travels as far as I remember.
