  1. As far as I recall, the marshall stands on the centre green holding the rope across the track. When the red lights go on, this gives an instruction to any rider that they must come to a controlled stop, not carry on around another corner.
  2. Ha, yes, seems that way. Still could get 12 at Poole................ and then make the top three at Gorican
  3. They don't let their riders rule the roost! Hampel, Smektala, Wozniak, Przedpelski, Buczkowski & Niedzwiedz all rode in the qualifiers but failed to get through.
  4. Looks like a comfortable win for the Lions, pleased to see Nicholls get a maximum.
  5. Brawling and other bad behaviour at Eastbourne. Look at the thread vs Glasgow.
  6. Yep, I expect 14 points at Lynn and 12 at Poole.
  7. Was a good GP, couldn't care less who wins though.
  8. Morris made all the difference for the aces tonight, rode well. Kennett and a Heeps did well for Witches, Eddie's EF when leading heat 8 helped the aces get a point
  9. Still much stronger than Bewley at Foxhall this year, trust me.
  10. Should have had more rides at SON as well, in place of Fricke.
  11. Remind me again who just missed out on a place in the final at last year's BF, having led Lambert and Cook for more than 3 laps and beat Bewley? Oh yeah, same fella. He can ride it and has had a few good meetings there but not that many!
  12. Mark Loram earned a lot more from Poland. For me it's nothing to do with training schools and everything to do with supporting speedway racing in their home nation. Also, what about the fans - surely most people would love to be able to cheer on the World Champion and see them race first hand. Some people understand it's not all about me me me.
  13. Yes laughing too hard. The point I made was about the world champion riding in their own domestic league - naff all to do with GP riders in the UK but you don't appear to understand.
  14. All a bit subjective I know and I haven't seen enough, only results, to be the best judge but the Danish riders do support it!
  15. How is that relevant? When NP was World Champ he lived in the UK but still rode in Denmark.
  16. That may well be true but having seen many of the Swedish meetings this year, they have by and large been awful as well - cannot be the same shale. Maybe it's always been that way but we're just expecting too much these days. When I ask for a burger people seem horrified if I don't add cheese, relish, tomato, gherkin etc. - I do stretch to onions Years ago life seemed simpler.
  17. Ha, I don't know because it was rained off and moved when I went there a few years ago, so just had a nice weekend there. At least they could develop the track before then as it doesn't hold regular meetings?
  18. They don't have leagues. It is a highly relevant question and is about supporting British Speedway - Nicki P has always ridden in the Danish league (I think but don't know for certain, hence the question) but the tracks there are no better than the UK and the level of racing quite low. If, as you mention, the true answer is simply money, then why does Jason Doyle continue to ride here and would Tai then really he be the right person to help develop the sport in this country if the role came without seeing a large wedge in his own pocket?
