Good for you.
-
I read what i see. Then others try and twist it..
-
Matt wanted a fee for him, he could have let him out on loan. But chose the former. end of.
-
Im sorry to upset your feelings, but, er, he live 20 mins away, and its a lot more convienient that a northern track..
-
Chris signed for Poole end of.Chris is a poole asset. IF, that was the fee then its up to Somerset if they wanted to pay it or not, like most clubs they cannot afford to stump up that sort of money, Chris could have gone out on loan, but Matt chose to put a price on him. Sorry if that offends you, but its called business. Ideally, Chris would have prefered to have jack ride with him at poole, but like you should know, but clearly cannot grasp, you dont always get what you want. Garys a shrewd manager, and im sure he has come up against brick walls with other riders. As i said, you dont always get what you want.
-
Its a well known fact that Chris wanted jack in the same team. It was not posible so jack had to sign for Somerset. Nothing wrong with that. Many fans for some reason dont like Chris, burt he's riding for us this season and im sure he will do his best. If others dont like him its there perogative.
-
Yep thats right..
-
Your opinion.
-
Does he not ? I think he would rather be at Poole than anywhere else to be honest.
-
Spot on, a good captain needs to roam the pits and G the lads up along with the team manager. Technical advice should be left to the mechs, unless that rider wants advice from others. Its a team game..
-
At first i thought Chris would be nailed on, but listening to what Matt says its the right decision. He just wants Chris to ride his bike, gain confidence and score points, which will benifit the team in the long run imo. Josh has been a captain at Somerset, so he knows what its all about, i feel the responsbillity will push him on, not pull him back. But on the same token, they can all be captains, because we are all aiming for the same goal..Its a team game..
-
Yeh maybe, but you would still think a quality rider like Lee would adapt to it well, give that he rode other big tracks well.
-
Yeh fair comment, but from Magics point of view he freely admitted he hated Wolves, but he eventually mastered it. But like somebody else said, Tony bit the bullet and rode it, Chris should be ble to do the same. Now you would have thought that Michael Lee would have been good round a big track like hyde rd, he rode KL well, and the old bigger Poole track.
-
Clearly you dont know the difference between a team manger and a promoter that holds the purse strings..
-
He was, Any yard stick has to involve Tony who won 6 world titles, but Chris should really suss Wolves out. its not rocket science. a case of watch a sky/BT DVD and learn. There angles are a lot better.
-
Neil manages Matt does the juggling.
-
Thats where the mindset comes in..
-
Im sure Matt will be doing a bit of juggling when the boys have put down early season markers. Horses for courses and all that..
-
Quite right, and Chris should take a leaf out of Tonys book. Its a head thing.
-
Another example, When Tony Rickardsson came to Poole he rated Poole as one of his least favorite tracks, but look how he ended up..
-
Yep very true, Magic openly admited to me he detested the Wolves track, but once he got it sussed he was away. As Steve says, could be all in thre head. That was the case with Magic.
-
Matt just wants Chris to ride his bike, regain his confidence and score points. He would be my choice for captain, but although we have not heard anything my guess is that it will go to josh.
-
Good point Steve, you could be right. But Magic mastered it so i see no reason why Chris shouldnt. No disrespect to Kyle Newman who picked it up very quickly, but Chris is in a different league. Im sure, or you would hope they watch DVD's of the meetings, and then just impliment what they see. From a riders perspective, Wolverhampton is not, or shouldnt be rocket science. But every tracks characteristics are different, but to be fair most top riders should get dialed in and master them quickly.
-
Thats true Steve, but you would have thought Chris would have figured it out by now.
-
Yeh, but when you think about it, Magic couldnt grasp Wolves for love nor money, but once he got the hang of iit he was away. Chris has had more practice, Kyle Newman soon mastered it, im suprised that they didnt make a play for him. Wolves is not rocket science, Chris should have figured it by now.
