  1. Perhaps others can put there clubs prices up for 17-18 yr olds? ours doesnt say that. and conssesions are £15, full Adult price is £18. so we can have a comparison...please. Premiership only.
  2. No i wasnt aware of that. is that french drains ? It hopefully will save you some meetings. the idea being the water will drain down to the inside and go down the drains, just over the white lines if thats whats been installed.
  3. Im not sure it will happen Steve. There P&P was cancelled today, and i would expect the track to be sodden, with more rain expected it will not drain and dry out in time no matter what there curator trys to do. They would need a sunny afternoon with a drying wind to have half a chance, and i dont think they will get that. I hope im proved wrong.
  4. Im not sure either meeting will run looking at the forcast.. I would definately check before you set off.
  5. Problem is Steve although it may sound daft, they prepare the dog track all day, and as you know it is sheeted for speedway. Wouldnt give them a whole lot of time to get all the sheets up a try and prepare the Dog track. I think it might be pushing it a bit. Although, if we started sharp say 11.30, i see no reason why not, but finished by 1 pm, hour/half to take up the sheets, start prep approx 3 pm. Hmm, still pushing it me thinks.
  6. Thing is mate, if that track is sodden which i would hazzard a guess it is, they wont be able to do anything of any consequence. Tipical British weather.
  7. Getting the excuses in early then Najjer... No gurrantee either meeting will be on yet..
  8. Im sorry to hear that, it doesnt take to many disatified customers to start a free fall. I do hope you regain your interest soon.
  9. i do know you could dowload an application form for season tickets, but for individual meetings im not sure.. But it might be an idea to enquire on friday if your going and if we are on. I dont know which side you go in but if you go via main grandstand pop in and see Matt, or if you go in glass grandstand side somebody should be there. i will be there and i could ask for you.
  10. Thats right, it suits you to pay on the gate, where's if you had to miss a 2-3 meetings for whatever reason it wouldnt matter to you, but those who feel they will go all season baring mishaps it makes sense to buy a season ticket.
  11. I think its up to the individual and there circumtances Daniel, those that feel they will go all season will buy a season ticket but should they miss a meeting or two then they would come out on the losing side. Those that have to work around work comitments obviously will be better off paying as they go. So it is an individual choice.
  12. Good ride by Fricke although to be fair he should be beating them even off 15 metres.
  13. I agree with most of this, especially the unsatifactory start, no pit gates should be opened. If they are then that said rider/s are put back on 2 minutes.. If they are not at tapes within that fresh 2 minutes they are excluded.
  14. You said facts, clearly they are not, facts, just forum talk. Try again.
  15. Well, like all clubs, savings have to be made somewhere, sadly its par for the course in British speedway. If it saves ANY club and im talking generally from going under then thats what they have to do. The track would have cost a few quid and its been done properly, not bodge it and scarper, so if bibs are the requirement then so beit, the riders still have there sponsors on there own Kevlars.
  16. No doubt you will spend more in the pub that you would on a programme..
  17. I totally agree with all the above, and very unfair on the smaller statuared riders. I was talking to little Norman Strachan last week about this subject, he is smaller than all the present riders, and even he was suprised this was brought in. Good on the powers that be to see a little sense.
  18. Yep sadly you are probably right Ray,
  19. Ha ha ha. Thats hardly proof, thats forum talk Next..
  20. 200 to 300, but even if its that its still 100 more on the previous year. Matts put rtogether POTENTIALLY the best team in years, but we are under no illusions, we are there to be shot at, every other club will be after us, starting friday V Somerset, and believe me, Gary would like our scalps, and Neil will make the team well aware of that.. You reckon, think you will be wrong, see you in October...
  21. You have no proof of that, making accusations like that are not good. Again, Matt runs Poole how he see's fit, how other promotions run there clubs is up to them, and if anything wasnt right the BSPA certainly wouldnt sanction it. Funny how you say the last ten years or more, how many league titles is it ? Ang on you have to use two hands..
  22. Please, dont lose any sleep mate, Pooles season ticket sales are way up this season on previous seasons, but i guess you forgot tha bit..
  23. Really, did you have a dream last night, then suddenly woke up ??
  24. You've all got your opinions, i have mine, if you dont like them please do not quote my post.Poole Keith, my post was not insulting towards Somerset, ive been there a lot, and i admire what Bill Debbie and Gary have done there and built it from scratch the track is also very simular to Poole, but wider, Matt has done very well at Poole as you well know, and we are a big club and thats where i make the term. Perhaps i should have put that in my original post and underlined it.., But you and others would still pick out something to have a pop at, no matter how small. Again you would all like word for word, no abreiviations, but you should be able to read between the lines. Gary would do the same at Somerset if he could, make no bones about that as i said, he also takes a leaf out of Matts book, and as i also said, he's a very shrewd manager. As i also said, and you failed to acknowledge, i was very suprised that they didnt win more titles in the championship, and i was there when they won there titles, and was over the moon for Bill Debbie and Gary, Gary also works hard to put together a side. But again, like a lot of posters on here you read what you want to read. And being a poole fan, you seem very uptight. Perhaps you are not a fan of Matt either.
