  1. Josh has posted on twitter Bent bike, blown engine, potential broke wrist.... The life of a speedway rider.
  2. Just out of Interest was there any Scunthorpe fans that made the trip? If so I hope Rob does the decent thing and lets them in for Nothing (or takes it out the riders wages) at the next home meeting.
  3. Positive note well done to Young Ryan on what is probably his first visit to Edinburgh, As for Bailey (Yeah I know most were crap tonight) his place seriously has to be on the line it's not the first time he's done championship racing and he hasn't improved that much if at all. Apart from Heat 2's at Scunny he seems to be out of his depth (Possibly not having a place in the NL doesn't help)
  4. There's the British Semi final at Redcar guess a few of the Scunny boys and Steve Worrall might be riding in that
  5. Shame the Scunny reserves seem to be struggling away from home.
  6. Nope well technically it was a quarter final. The Full KOC draw is CHAMPIONSHIP KO CUP FIRST ROUND Birmingham v Eastbourne Eastbourne v Birmingham Agg: Somerset v Redcar Redcar v Somerset Agg: Sheffield v Glasgow Glasgow v Sheffield Agg: Edinburgh, Scunthorpe, Berwick, Leicester and Newcastle received Byes QUARTER-FINALS Edinburgh v Scunthorpe Scunthorpe v Edinburgh Agg: Newcastle v Berwick Berwick v Newcastle Agg: Leicester v Birmingham/Eastbourne Birmingham/Eastbourne v Leicester Agg: Sheffield/Glasgow v Somerset/Redcar Somerset/Redcar v Sheffield/Glasgow Agg: SEMI-FINALS TBC v TBC TBC v TBC Agg: TBC v TBC TBC v TBC Agg: FINAL TBC v TBC TBC v TBC Agg:
  7. Danny Ayres replaces List http://www.scunthorpe-speedway.com/?p=9668
  8. Was awful at Hull as a team manager and didn't do much better at Berwick either. I've now looked it up Bailey was injured so didn't ride at Leicester but Kinsley did. It's been a couple of years since Nielsen rode there too. So the ones who haven't rode there recently were actually the ones from Scunthorpe (Nielsen and Bailey) who did their job
  9. One question I have to ask after reading Dave Peet's comments on the Scorpions site “Leicester haven’t been in our league for a while, so some of the lads had not ridden it before, and we spent most of the meeting trying to get dialled in, while the track was a bit grippy early on. “In the end, it became a stepping stone for our league meeting here later in the season. Next year we come back, we’ll be dialled in.” Which guys haven't seen the track before? Auty and Garrity rode for them. Allen rode in top flight last year so will have been to Leicester. Coventry rode their NL fixtures there so Bailey and Kinsley will have rode for Mildenhall and List rode in the ben fund a couple of weeks back. Got to wonder if he does actually have a clue
  10. Jake's Posted on Twitter his bikes are more injured then he is. He has a week off now and will be fine.
  11. Hope I'm Wrong but having seen the racecard I honestly can't see where Scunthorpe may get a heat advantage. They may get some race winners but I honestly can't see were a 4-2 or 5-1 in the Scorpions favour (minus falls and retirements) are going to come from.
  12. My Opinion is the way it has been done is very wrong and disappointing but at least it's 2 extra British riders getting jobs.
  13. Atkins and Rowe Bailey and Kinsley Great to see Brits been given a chance this is what reserves should be all about
  14. Has Steve Worrall been mentioned as a Potential Number 1 for the Tigers?
  15. Didn't someone say that Rob said it was a new rider to the championship? So that would mean it's someone on a 2pt average? If so unless they are going to top quality there's a little bit of waste on the average limit. If it is someone new to the championship I wouldn't be surprised at it been someone who is familiar with the other reserve.
  16. Auty 8.15 Allen 7.37 List 4.00 Bailey 2.51 (according to Paul Crute's article on Telegraph website) Total = 22.03 so far
  17. Tomorrow? Don't turn up tomorrow you might get a bit lonely. Try Sunday 5pm though. But yes it is worrying
  18. This was my 14th season working for the site and Sue was there before me. it's certainly flown by.
  19. You more then likely heard him say he couldn't guest at Scunny rather then wouldn't. For the same reason he wouldn't be able to guest at Workington for Scunthorpe but can guest at Scunthorpe the 5% rule. He guested for Nicholls (8.35) so can only guest at home
  20. with the 5% added on to Josh's Average at home (8.36 + 5% = 8.78) i'd go for Ricky Wells (8.40).
  21. Sure I read or heard somewhere it was going to be possibly the opening meeting of 2019
  22. Workington qualified for the final a fortnight a go the first leg is at Scunthorpe on Sunday 21st at 5pm
