  1. I have watched Thomsen in his meetings for Peterborough and he is undoubtedly a class act and would be an out and out no 1 in the PL, on his rolling average of 6.62 he is a steal either in the PL or EL on a conversion. His average for his meetings this year for Panthers is 8.50 or 9.16 with BP.
  2. Nothing funny at all, the blokes been an absolute star this year both on the track and in the pits.
  3. Riding Poland next year which appears to rule him out of both clubs plans
  4. Yes and the Edinburgh site said he would likely back for the second leg of the KOC final but he wasn't was he. Update required.
  5. So is WOLBERT riding or not today, I have seen nothing reported and the Edinburgh website doesn't provide an update.
  6. I wouldn't altogether disagree with that statement.
  7. Well originally he was a Wolves asset I think most fans will have Edinburgh down as favourites but the result yesterday asked some serious questions about the Monarchs and showed they can be vulnerable if put under pressure.
  8. Kent will be welcomed with open arms by the EL, yet another team that will be cannon fodder for teams like Poole and will clearly take some pressure of Leicester, Wolves and Lakeside as its yet another team to compete for the wooden spoon.
  9. And in addition they don't explain what the flaw was so people are none the wiser as to the reason As you say disgraceful.
  10. Lambert didn't help much at home last time he fell off whilst showboating in heat 10 and probably cost us the match.
  11. I think the possible absence of Wolbert or/and Clegg could make a difference, I see both are missing tonight and hopefully making a return in the second leg of the KOC Final at Armadale Friday, Monarchs would certainly miss Wolbert the way he has been riding recently. Riss was poor in the league meeting at Peterborough this year until his last ride when the track had gone really slick.
  12. And that's the crux of the problem, the promoters who would and could have made the difference and changes have had their enthusiasm completely destroyed by the old establishment who want to run it the way they always have and until that cycle is broken nothing really will change.
  13. It was certainly unusual to see someone excluded for being lapped, I am struggling to remember if I have ever witnessed that before.
  14. Shame you left early as some of the later races were excellent especially heat 14 which was one of the best races this year. It was a tad drawn out because of crashes which cannot be helped.
  15. What and you think racing Saturday's doesn't hinder that. It's the main reason you struggle for any riders especially the ones that ride in Poland or are committed to FIM qualifiers. And the sooner this is done the better off UK speedway will be.
  16. Peterborough needs a competitive team to get good crowds for the speedway whether it's EL or PL, that's pretty much been the case for the last couple of decades or more.
  17. I think the fact that Horton was the boss had a fair bit to do with it plus a race night that just didn't suit anyone. A competitive team racing on Fridays & Sunday afternoons has seen more than a few fans return and the management have also done a good job on getting the fans involved with the club & riders.
  18. Looks like yes and no in that order, but I would hope it isn't £20 for just 16 heats. Apparently it was considered but your current H&S in the pits prevents it.
  19. To double down/up they need both, the BSPA made an exception with Robert Lambert. He could ride just PL on a converted GSA but not D/U, of course that's subject to the rules being changed.
