Ipswich vs Peterborough 23rd march
bigcatdiary replied to Gasser90's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I agree, it should be close, one or two getting over big injuries, new faces and the weather could play a part looking at the weather forecast but it should be a very keenly contested opening match. -

That’s assuming Emil gets his work permit and start permission. -
Woffindens last GSA is 7.03 (2016)

The real problem is tracks, they are generally very slick which makes passing in most circumstances very difficult, which of course makes starting well a necessity, which is why we have the usual pre race shenanigans and gardening. If tracks were prepared more for racing as opposed to super slick, trapping wouldn’t be the be all and end all of the racing. Follow the leader crap is not what most supporters want to see.

Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
bigcatdiary replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Only time will tell The acid test will be when he makes a decision that’s against one of the Directors clubs. I hope he got at least a 3 year contract. -
I see you got quoted in the star this week flappy. Peterborough mentioned a long running saga over winter, often played out via rumours and semi informed leaks on social media.

If he has any sense he will have signed a contract with at least three years on it, if not it could be a short appointment. -
No that was cheating as well

Well considering Louis is part of the board I don’t see any problems on that score, the home office is of course an entirely different ball game. And before anyone jumps on the bandwagon I would like to see Sayfutdinov riding in the Premiership this year.

I must be honest I am of the same opinion, the visa is not mentioned in anything I have read about the Ipswich signing. The story makes a big thing about him having Polish Citizenship and having a Polish Passport but the bottom line is he is Russian and has medals to prove it. Interesting.

It appears your forgetting that TTT has a degree in talking complete bollocks.

He did indeed, it’s interesting that he hasn’t got a Premiership place so far this year despite having ridden for nearly every team in the league.
-
Well you should know you start 99% of them

If Worrall was that good Lynn would have kept him
-
He has indeed

Oh is that right

Nigel Wagstaff didn’t buy the club when he ran the speedway at Kings Lynn for a couple of years.

I agree, it’s not hard to do at last one good story a week, news this year has been dreadful. And people wonder why the sport is in the mess it is.

Parts on a speedway bike can fail after continued use so a lot of riders rightly replace bits before they do ultimately do, as a breakdown whilst racing can cost them a lot of money, Hans does pass on a lot of his older gear to young up and coming riders, I dare say he hangs onto good engines whilst they are going well.
