  1. Being ultra fair both promotions would have known Lambert wasn’t riding because of the line up website used by officials and Referees etc in the lead up to the meeting., notwithstanding that even out of courtesy BV would have let Lynn know he had twisted his ankle and was injured. (I seriously doubt that anyone on this forum honestly believes this $hyte but hey ho let’s play the game anyway) The fact that Neither club said anything is extremely poor. But let’s be fair Lambert was brought in for one purpose only, to give BV the edge in the Play Offs, he was never going to do anything else and most understood that. However yet another kicking for the supporters who paid to attend, honestly thinking Lambert was riding, wonderful PR yet again.
  2. Just 3 times, although Postponements restricted 3 more occasions.
  3. Let’s hope this reported illness doesn’t affect the thousands of supporters intending to go to the match tonight.
  4. We did enjoy it because we did with the same team from the off, we didn’t bring in ringers and we did it on track, which is where all titles should be decided.
  5. If the rules were clear, easy to understand and followed correctly half of this years changes wouldn’t have happened.
  6. I am afraid it’s commonplace amongst speedway clubs in general, the communication is generally poor to its supporters.
  7. Well I am neutral and I thought the final was good viewing (both legs). The track at Owlerton however wasn’t particularly good and the starts were dreadful, why the start line wasn’t ripped I don’t know, gate 3 was a graveyard and 2 wasn’t much better. The Ref got some decisions right but heat 3 was surely all four back every time, not sure what she was thinking to exclude Ellis and looking at the reaction he didn’t either. Heat 11 was in our opinion wrong, Kurtz had lost that one and just dropped it. It’s disappointing that the match was effectively decided on the refs decision in that heat as it looked like it was going all the way. As expected Robert Lambert didn’t find it quite as easy to miss the gate and overtake as he did at the NSS but I still think it’s wrong that he was included in the first place as he is light years better than Fricke. That’s undoubtedly took some of the shine of the final but the Belle Vue fans and Management clearly don’t care as it was always all about winning and nothing else mattered.
  8. 010.3.1 Cut Off Date The BSPA Directors monitor all proposed moves and have the sole responsibility to approve all re-declared teams, having been satisfied they are in the best interests of the sport.
  9. I see Ipswich have re declared Riss back in the side today with Tungate going in the opposite direction.
  10. In which case it begs the question why the BV match report didn’t say so. Belle Vue made a big thing of Hans Andersens concussion when he crashed in the first leg of last years final, it was even being mentioned before the match finished.
  11. Wrights the key to the second leg and if he doesn’t ride I think it’s advantage Sheffield. Its Interesting that despite waiting an age for the Belle Vue press release on the match it doesn’t go into any details of injuries sustained by Wright or Etheridge.
  12. Holder and Ellis poor tonight, Sheffield have it all to do Thursday
  13. Whilst you have the overriding clause in the regulations which states The BSPL directors have the sole right to approve or not approve a declaration then it matters not a jot what’s in the rules.
  14. I gave up after heat 10 and watched something else, I get Eurosport with my sky subscription , I can honestly say if I had to pay extra I wouldn’t bother. The GP,s haven’t been a lot better either, apart from one or two they have been borefests as well. The sport is on its arse at the moment and the TV coverage isn’t helping.
  15. It is, this is complete and utter shyte. Wolverhampton are shocking, I am glad Steve Masters is up for it, shame that the other six aren’t.
  16. I can well remember that being said about Tungate
  17. If riders want to guarantee they get the best chance for a Wildcard, they should do the WC Qualifiers, no excuse really, it would also significantly nullify the chances of a no hoper making it through to the GP via the challege.
  18. Some call it dirty, Doyle has been doing it all season, Ref made the right call
  19. Louis and Bates were never going to allow Belle Vue to sign Lambert with both their teams involved in the play offs.
  20. Which rather begs the question why Belle Vue even tried to bring him in. Are you suggesting Mark Lemon doesn’t know or understand the Speedway Regulations.
  21. Doyle apart the Witches we’re well beaten with Tungate and Batchelor very disappointing. The racing wasn’t up too much (not that it ever is at Foxhall) and the commentary from Ermobollox was the usual drivel but the best team won in style.
