  1. Average rigging has gone on since the sport started, the only real argument is to make all official matches count towards GSA, league, all cups and play offs etc, the more matches that count the less an average can be manipulated. Thats why it’s interesting that the BSPL have this year decided to reduce the amount that matches that count towards an average. No explanation has been provided for this so everyone can draw their own conclusions as to why it’s been done.
  2. Which rather begs the question why if he hasn’t ridden any league matches has his Premiership GSA changed during later 2022 issues.
  3. Under 10.2.1 The most recently established MA will be used. If a rider has an established MA in both the Premiership and Championship Leagues, established in the same season, that leagues MA will apply to that league. Premiership Issue 12 dated 26th August 2022 and effective 1st September shows Heeps on 5.07
  4. That info came from the pit staff should be reliable
  5. Didn’t get the superheat unfortunately 59.6 59.7 59.0 59.4 59.7 59.7 59.2 59.7 59.7 59.9 60.2 60.0 60.1 60.1 60.5
  6. And when was the last time the sports management asked for the views or ideas from the supporters.
  7. It’s simple in my mind, attendances are poor now because the racing generally is too often gate and go. You can have whatever format you like, lovely eye catching race suits, extra match points for a team arriving early. Having the most bonus points or winning despite having the most guests or the Eurosport speciality having the most boring and inept commentator (Ermobollox) but supporters want proper racing and close matches and let’s be fair it’s not too often they see it these days. The GP,s were very popular not too long ago when around 40,000 did the annual trek to Cardiff despite rip off ticket and hotel prices, but this years debacle in front of just over 20,000 has showed that even GP,s have a duty to entertain or they will die and the powers at be just don’t appear to want or desire to take on board that the racing is key as Wroclaw showed the other Weekend. A proper Grand Prix on a proper race track.
  8. I think it’s a complete waste of time and money but I can appreciate that some like it. Early doors it was a bit processional, but half way through it livened up considerably and the racing second half was very good. Ipswich did well to come back but I thought a draw was a fair result.
  9. Being perfectly honest after 20 years I am thinking of giving it a miss next year, this years GP was utter crap racing wise, and ticket and hotel prices are just ridiculous.
  10. It appears they are just blocking booking for the 1st and 2nd September until they confirm prices.
  11. Almost impossible to win a meeting with just three riders, even with RR and a TS available. Any half decent guest for MPT would have seen Panthers in with a big chance of winning as well as a fairly healthy amount of visiting fans but pretty much everyone on the basis of what’s happened previously all season thought this would be a heavy drubbing but sometimes the sport throws up an unlikely result. Just out of interest Theresa what was the crowd like.
  12. A very good well earned point from tonight’s match 41 points from the 3 Panthers and 3 points from the 3 Guests. Take a bow Chris Harris, Scott Nicholls and Ben Basso, well done. Who was the referee out of interest.
  13. Money dictates what sort of guest you get, always has and always will. Riders worried about getting injuries shouldn’t be riding speedway.
  14. I would have thought a decent guest for Palm Toft and RR for Andersen would have been a better way to go and possibly attract a few Panthers fans but Lambert and Wright do nothing for me and like a lot of others I will pass. Like a lot of others on here I will not travel to watch an uncompetitive team. Crowds so far at Peterborough have been good with Mondays attendance very good but this attitude to guests is testing everyone’s patience.
  15. The track had been relaid since last Thursday and looked in very good condition with plenty of material on it.
  16. Difficult to say Tim, a lot of people seem to think it’s down to the quality of the tyres, it’s not the first time we have had tyre problems at Peterborough
  17. 14 per team, 2 to each rider. That was reduced this year to 9 per team
  18. Teams get 9 tyres each at Peterborough (up till this year it was 14) because of the circuit shape and speed, 3 other tracks have the same allocation because they wear tyres more than the other U.K. tracks. I was told they didn’t have enough tyres left to complete the meeting, most of the riders were wearing a tyre edge down per race. Tyres are clearly not up to the job, we have had several instances of problems like this at Peterborough in recent years.
  19. A lot is going to depend on how Andersen and Nicholls go today, they will both have at least 12 rides between them so need to be scoring well above their average.
  20. Yet again the inside was the place to be if you made the gate with very little chance of anyone making an outside pass. I am sure Kings Lynn were delighted, Not sure Peterborough fans would be of the same opinion. Fast race times generally mean a grippy white line, a trapping contest and a follow the leader from start to finish.
