  2. This was discussed at the Pre Season Meeting with the riders and management and it was fairly well agreed that the Riders and team manager would like it less grippy on the white line. We basically get three types of track A - Grippy all over but including the inner and white - Fast times and a gaters paradise B - Slicker round the inner and white line and plenty of dirt out wide - Generally good or very good meetings with plenty of overtaking C - A mixture of A & B - Which sometimes produces a decent meeting but doesn’t always. Some of the problem last night was not enough watering in my opinion, but then we had the TV and they want it run to a schedule.
  3. You are preaching to the converted, I said when I started this thread that we shouldn’t have a grippy white line and that’s exactly what we got with super fast times for the first four races and anybody moving off it went backwards and still the track is prepared like this. I have discussed this with riders and management at various times and their were moves to make the inside a bit slicker, this would surely make the racing better as last nights was pretty non existent before the interval, it did improve after the interval but of course the damage was already done. Its just a shame that the people doing the track ( and before anyone says I don’t think Buster is involved in it) are setting it up like last night because as a viewing spectacle the racing was dreadful (gate and go) although I accept the few Belle Vue fans might have liked it. The crowd was poor last night and if we continue in this manner both with track set up and results it will only get worse I agree with Rob Lyon with most of his comments in the match review, Belle Vue were much better out of the starts and they attacked the track, we didn’t and paid the penalty. Our team is virtually the same as last year and they did us proud, I have no problem with Ostergaard having been signed again this year along with the others but at the moment they haven’t clicked and some of them have been poor for the most part.
  4. It’s not an easy job at all, but you are spot on, just stick to reporting on the results and the race itself.
  5. And this sort of fiasco does nothing to tempt away fans into going.
  6. An important match for the Panthers as they look to bounce back from a somewhat disappointing League start. Eurosport are showing this live in what should be a cracking match with the Aces team full of riders who clearly love the Showground circuit. I sincerely hope we get a decent race track Monday that showcases the talent on show and provides entertaining racing rather than the grippy white line surface that just encourages trapping competitions and little else. No team news yet from either team but expected teams are. Peterborough - Michael Palm Toft, Scott Nicholls, Ulrich Ostergaard, Hans Andersen, Chris Harris, Benjamin Basso & Jordan Palin. Belle Vue - Max Fricke, Jye Etheridge, Matej Zagar, Charles Wright, Brady Kurtz, Norick Blodorn & Tom Brennan.
  7. A friend told me it was available so was just enquiring as I hadn’t seen it posted anywhere.
  8. Was yesterdays match v Peterborough streamed last night does anyone know
  9. No bugger wants to ride with Batchelor I should think
  10. They don’t need to make an amendment even if the SCB allowed it. 10.3.1 allows the Board of Directors to approve or not a re declaration, I did wonder why they had allowed Zagar to replace Allen at Belle Vue and now I know.
  11. Last years Play Off Semi was reasonable entertainment
  12. Quote of the night from Sam Ermolenko - I think the person getting out of the start will have an advantage. No $hit Sherlock Why do TV still use him, the blokes hopeless
  13. They are Bending nothing, the BSPL Directors have completely ignored rule 12.2 and confirmed the declaration under 10.3.1 (best interests of the sport). Take a bow Godfrey, Bates, Louis and Ford.
  14. They just cannot help themselves can they. So basically you could win your first 5 races score 20 points suffer an engine failure or get taken off and hurt in the semi and get awarded 9 GP points. It’s like the superheat, What plonkers keep thinking this crap up. How about some that will actually increase paying spectators like tracks that are set up for racing instead of trapping competitions.
  15. It is now and your all forgetting this rule. 010.3.1 The BSPA Directors monitor all proposed moves and have the sole responsibility to approve all re-declared teams, having been satisfied they are in the best interests of the sport. Result BSPL Directors 5 Sport Credibility 0
  16. Clearly didn’t see the positives that Hawkins Did, lol.
  17. I have just been told Kildemand has broke his ankle.
  18. To be fair it’s a nothing match for Ipswich and everything for Lynn, fair play to the Kings Lynn team they took advantage of our woes on the night and got the win at our place. They haven’t had a lot of success in recent times and it’s not looking to promising re the Iversen position.
  19. Thankfully No, but we are spoilt at Peterborough. Fantastic track that generally offers great racing, good facilities for fans and it’s own proper car parks both inside and out.
  20. A good friend of mine took his grandson to the Leicester v Newcastle match a couple of weeks ago, I asked him if the track was any better and he said it was utter shyte. I have been twice since it opened despite living only 35 miles away and despite a tidy stadium and viewing area the track, parking and racing is dreadful.
  21. If Hawkins was a tactical genius surely Basso was the obvious choice for Starke.
