  1. I rather think the max of two changes and only after 25% of league fixtures might have a big say in those plans.
  2. Lol, that probably explains why you haven’t won anything for decades.
  3. I right bugger isn’t it, having to work 4 days on the trot
  4. It’s still early days but Thursdays match at Lynn is an important one for the Witches.
  5. Absolutely nothing to do with the TV this was thought up by one of our geniuses on the BSPL board.
  6. Not every team. It’s interesting that Neil Middleditch rates the Panthers again in this weeks star review.
  7. We have. 1. Its called the Peterborough Panthers Speedway Supporters Club. 2. Peterborough Speedway 100 Club. Both actively support Speedway in Peterborough.
  8. So have I Rodders on occasions and only then when we hit problems but he watches all the meetings from the sponsors lounge. Peterborough meetings are nowhere near the drawn out affairs you get at Lynn.
  9. He doesn’t get the chance Rodders, he watches the meeting from the sponsors lounge. (Certainly did in 2021) Luke, Dean and Kevin drive the tractors.
  10. Surely good racing would do that on a properly prepared racetrack. This has been thought up by someone who has signed a very good top two, my money is on Chris Louis. Its nothing to do with excitement it’s to do with making sure his team win.
  11. How about 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw, No tactical’s off 15 yards or otherwise. The current 15 heat formula has proved to be good and a reasonable points limit should be kept. If promoters think they need more excitement then they should ensure their race tracks are not super slick and encourage racing as opposed to gating competitions. Rules should be left to the SCB as the BSPL have showed over the years they are completely incapable of any reasonable improvements as this latest example shows. All leagues should be under exactly the same rules, let’s get back to keeping it simple.
  12. At this moment in time Peterborough Speedway is operating because of Keith Chapman and after a season we have just had it’s hardly fair to knock him is it. I don’t see a big queue of people attempting to take over from him either, even though he is open to offers. As Neil Watson says this plan needs to be approved and will take years to come to fruition even if it is allowed, a lot could still change.
  13. I wouldn’t take too much notice of what supporters predict how teams will do, you only have to look at what happened last year. I dare say things will be clearer after a month or two, I seem to recall Ipswich started like trains last year but then just ran out of puff. Interesting to see people writing off the Panthers yet again and saying how good Sheffield are.
  14. I should think it’s not been communicated because it’s took some time to sort it out. Maximum no of rides, tape and time exclusions, penalties etc for riders, falls on the first bend, machinery problems as a result of a first bend crash, or riders getting injured as a result all come into play and I should think as per usual the person thinking up this brainwave up hasn’t thought of any of these problems and just thought it would be a good idea, a bit like Promotion and Relegation and all the other super two or three year plans that get ditched after one year. This has proposed for Televised matches written all over it. And for the record their were four draws in the Premiership last year.
  15. Don’t know about Putin but I can think of a couple of extraleague clubs that will be.
  16. Everything was new to Palin last year including most of the tracks, the second year is usually the one in which you see real improvement and I and a lot of others expect him to show it. He learned a hell of a lot last year, the fact that he rides for the same teams again is a big clue as well.
  17. Probably having trouble agreeing terms with Tungate, best of luck with that one
  18. My understanding is that the Premiership No 8’s were the No 1 riders in the junior teams
