  1. Well it wasn’t given a lot of thought was it, but to be fair most of the rule book fits that category as well.
  2. It needs the authorities to take action, Referee, SCB/BSPA. I was told yesterday that Promoters can and have been fined previously for not preparing tracks properly, just needs a consistent approach from the above. Just out on interest who was the meeting referee.
  3. And since when have refs ever been consistent, especially Carrington. But a decent meeting with a fair result, the crowd was magnificent easily our best of the season so far with a fairly full grandstand and the fifty fifty winner got £290, another season best. Supporters hut had a few programmes left but the turnstiles sold out and not a speck of dust all night on a quite warm evening which shows it can be done if prepared properly.
  4. You should always prepare a track properly whether rain is forecast or not, if rains arrives and it’s heavy or prolonged it’s off anyway, if it doesn’t arrive or not as much as anticipated you get dust and everyone attending wears the track home. Tracks like Poole produced Friday are just not acceptable. Interesting that the match report mentions dust but no apologies to the paying customers. Pretty much sums up the managements consideration for the supporters.
  5. Peterborough host Kings Lynn on bank holiday Monday with an amended start time of 6.30pm due to Peterborough Uniteds match against Sunderland in the afternoon. Expected teams Peterborough : Rohan Tungate, Lasse Bjerre, Bradley Wilson Dean, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, Aaron Summers & Ben Barker. Kings Lynn : Robert Lambert, Erik Riss, Ty Proctor, Lewis Kerr, Thomas Jorgensen, Michael Palm Toft & Kasper Andersen.
  6. If properly watered you shouldn’t get dust, it probably wasn’t watered yesterday to get it into shape. No excuse for clouds of dust, poor track preparation and maintenance.
  7. The simple answer is to keep the Premiership to Monday’s and Thursdays and Championship to the others, no clashes or double up problems, most bank holidays are on Monday’s so what’s the problem. Basic common sense to me
  8. Never said it did, I was responding to the poster who wanted more shale on the track.
  9. A bit more shale, are you serious. Its had over 150 ton of shale and clay put on it this year alone, that’s why every time was under 60 seconds Monday and the track record has gone twice this year.
  10. I think Brad went for a gap that wasn’t really on. Thats the first time in 50 years I can remember that every heat was under 60 seconds, not so much one line but the inside was the quickest. Gating is all important at this level as very few mistakes get made and so it has proved in our first three matches. Hopefully the racing will improve a little over the next few months but it’s certainly entertaining, and the meetings are being run at a quick speed, about 1.5 hours so far.
  11. Judging at the recent attendances at the EWR most people do stay at home.
  12. Peterborough host the reigning Champions on Monday on what will be the first Premiership League match of the season. Expected Teams Peterborough: Rohan Tungate, Lasse Bjerre, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, Aaron Summers, Ben Barker. Poole: Jack Holder, Josh Grajczonek, Nicolai Klindt, Richie Worrall, Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen. Panthers: Rohan Tungate, Lasse Bjerre, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Charles Wright, Hans Andersen, Aaron Summers, Ben Barker. Pirates: Jack Holder, Josh Grajczonek, Nicolai Klindt, Richie Worrall, Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen. Pirates: Jack Holder, Josh Grajczonek, Nicolai Klindt, Richie Worrall, Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen.
  13. Funnily enough the Pirates Website don’t, they seem to think Holders riding.
  14. My information is the track grading at the interval changed the circuit considerably to the detriment of the home side. I am sure that Hans has nothing in his contract to state he has to have 4 rides, it’s worth remembering that he was well out of pocket last night as he earned nothing from last night and still had expenses to pay out. i am confident Hans will sort it, rather like Bjerre and Barker did.
  15. How on earth does a seat at Belle Vue cost £48?
  16. To be fair if he is spending the right amount to keep his head above water I don’t think anyone can knock him, I read the Chris Morton article in the star the other week and it’s clear Belle Vue are losing a lot of money each year, how long that continues is anyone’s guess but a halt will be called at some point. Riders need to understand that the money just isn’t there anymore (Cooks a classic example) just how many clubs have to go bust before it dawns on them.
  17. It’s up to the Directors/MC who can decide to grant a 28 day facility
