Peterborough Panthers 2018

Only averaged 8.44. Given the choice he would be the first name on the team sheet for me, utter box office, a class act and an out and out racer and a bloody nice chap to boot. -
All evidence I have is that the BSPA monitor a lot of what’s posted on here and clearly react sometimes to it as their own PR,s often suggest, some even post under their own names, a lot more do it under obscure user names.
-
Interesting, no doubt a full press release will be forthcoming.
-
Personally any decision that effectively stops British riders from riding in a British league is fundamentally wrong, especially when these riders don’t ride abroad. it will be interesting this year to see how many Championship riders doubling up miss meetings in the UK because of riding commitments abroad. As has been said before if they don’t want riders over 6 in the Premiership riding in the Championship then they should make the rule across the board and stop everyone over that average, the fact that they haven’t just highlights the complete inconsistencies of the BSPA.
-
I think Peterborough’s involvement has everything to do with it, you really don’t know the half of it.
-
Of course it does any Championship club staging a Championship shared event provides an advantage to its riders. As previously stated neutral venues do not generally provide the BSPA with the revenue they clearly expect these events to make, that and the fact a lot of clubs just don’t want to stage them.
-
Depends on exactly what he is prepared to do about it but it’s high time the BSPA were taken to task for some of the awful decisions they make. How on earth can it be right that riders like Morris, Cook, Masters, Schlein and Harris etc can ride Championship but Nicholls & Kennett cannot despite having Premiership Averages lower than the aforementioned. Either you stop riders with a Premiership Average in excess of 6.00 from riding Championship or scrap the rule entirely and allow all with the appropriate conversion.

Because he is right. You clearly have no idea how it works because if you did you would know that we talk to the Showground about the following years dates before the current season is finished. -
And of course following Chapmans utter condemnation of his actions Rathbone then committed an even worse sin in the eyes of the BSPA MC by winning the Fours without Jack Holder, what a kick in the nether regions that was. I am just pleased that the ACU saw through the BSPA MC and the SCB and reacted accordingly, it just remains to be seen what happens now.
-
Following the recommendations made by the Independent Judicial Enquiry into the public statements made by Mr Ged Rathbone concerning the conduct of Mr Rob Godfrey, vice-chairman of the British Speedway Promoters’ Association, the members of the Speedway Control Bureau met with Mr Godfrey. As a result of these discussions and further enquiries made by the SCB members, it was concluded that the actions of Mr Godfrey were accepted as being made at all times with the best intentions, and in consideration of his role within British Speedway.

Sundstroms the last piece if the info is right.

Kasprzak must be nailed on on his average and Holder C looks a good bet as well.

As did mine which is and has been since I complained nearly 100% reliably on a Thursday. A few years ago after my subscription copy kept getting later and later I had a word with our local postman who I knew fairly well and he told me the problem isn’t the local post office but the regional sorting office (their priorities) he advised me to write or email the local manager which I did and for the last 5 years my copy has nearly 100% arrived on the Thursday like it did over Christmas and New Year. -

I wasn’t at the recent fans Forum but I have it on good authority that those present were told we wouldn’t be staging the Fours in 2018. Biggest single BSPA event earner for 2017, went well didn’t it. -

It’s been made very clear, Peterborough are NOT hosting the Fours in 2018 -

If we had the choice of most Sundays at the Showground you might have a case unfortunately we don’t. -

Trouble is they don’t do transparency and communication either, but n fact I am struggling to suggest anything they do well apart from complete incompetence. -

Surely the answer is to not let make the rules at all, they just are not trustworthy and competent to do it. -

Especially when at least a third of the Championship didn’t go to the AGM
