  1. Vissing is pretty handy round there and I reckon Nikolaj will enjoy it. The rest will struggle. Reckon we're looking at around 32 points. Write this one off and try and take something away from Ipswich & Plymouth
  2. Dunno about that. I presume they're gonna leave it as grass.
  3. As far as I know the banking on the bends is gonna be grassed over and there will be tiered seating on the back straight
  4. He's started the season off pretty well according to the other half. Cheap
  5. Doubtful that he'll come back from NZ anytime soon
  6. Warren Scott bought the entire operation. Len Silver is in charge of team matters and track prep, nothing else as far as I know
  7. Tres missed a few meetings for Rye House last year due to grass track commitments
  8. Such a lame argument..... I've never had a woodwork lesson in my life, but I know a nice bit of furniture when I see it. We won the league in 2005, hammering 50+ points past most teams week on week. Crowds at Rye House were more than double what they are now..... Berwick fans are weird
  9. Berwick used to be unbeatable at home when the track wasn't as well prepared (on purpose I suspect)
  10. I heard of an EL rider who was on £375 a point last year. It's a dangerous sport and they are brave men, but that's just plain ridiculous and surely can't be sustainable in the current climate of falling attendances in the UK.
  11. It's a possibility I s'pose if Edinburgh allow it. We don't know how long Kasper will be out for
  12. And yet most clubs are still losing money, so who's to blame? Greedy riders, over priced equipment, expensive engine tuning?I genuinely don't know the answer
  13. Peterborough battered Ipswich tonight. The LC group is wide open once again
  14. Speaking to Nikolaj in the bar after the meeting, he told me that he'd be missing Plymouth away (17th) & Sheffield at home (18th) due to an U21 meeting. We'll also be without Edward for Somerset next Friday due to his Lakeside commitments. Whisper is Claus Vissing is our guest at Somerset
  15. I can't give you an accurate figure, but someone counted 5 when they left Berwick. I'm sure there will be a more accurate figure in the next newsletter
  16. I'm not an expert, but everyone around me was saying to drag the dirt in and water it. No use watering concrete, that would be dangerous. I'm not saying it would've had an impact on the result, but it may have helped. Rockets looked comfortable up until half way through the match. Opportunity lost
  17. No water put down during the meeting, despite requests from riders and even the new owner. All requests were turned down by Len Silver. Can't figure it out. Spoke briefly to Edward Kennett after the meeting. He was NOT a happy bunny!!
  18. Called it before the heat. Can't remember the last time he won heat 15
  19. Len Silver doesn't get the gate money. He's not the owner of the stadium. There's still a good few Panthers fans here.
  20. Totally deserved win. Rockets threw away an 8 point lead due to no watering and another off day for Bowen & Boxall, who looks like he's back to his crap bikes again. MPT & Robert Lambert superb for the visitors. No weak link apart from Greenwood. Rockets back down to earth with a bump. I predicted a 4 point defeat before heat 1, without any support from those around me. Edward was seen to be having a blazing row with Len Silver in the pits after heat 10, saying the track was dry and dangerous. Had to be dragged away. Hope lessons have been learned.
