  1. There hasn't been a supporters club at Rye House since Len Silver kicked em out in the late 1990's. The closest we've been to one was the fund raising activities, organised by the Longman family and others for Robbo after his horrendous injuries in 2006 and the many Northern tours organised by them.
  2. Only two of them go regularly. The others have given up
  3. It's very easy spending someone else's money
  4. The vibes I got from that interview was he's too expensive
  5. Around 1,000 more than you get 😉 I walk around 8-9 miles a day at work. I ain't doing it in my spare time too.
  6. I've had three different screen names over the years. Wizard of Shadwell, Shadwell & Shads. Not done to be devious or hide anything, just bored with them at the time
  7. I'll pick and choose depending on opposition/weather/whether I can be bothered. We're only a couple of minutes drive from the track. Nothing will replace seeing you're own team race though. Sadly they're over 300 miles away
  8. According to the Rye website there will be some news in the next few days. Took a massive gamble on Watt last season, it may have cost us a play off place. Also, the experiment with Kennett as a number one didn't work. Swindon were all but written off when they announced their very top heavy team, but they did the business with a few tweeks. A number one that can win races home and away must be a priority.
  9. If fixed race nights leads to regular 1-7 line ups then that's a good thing. One of the biggest gripes has been the use of rider replacement and guests for absent riders.
  10. I'm not convinced Sundstrom is a number one in this league. We need a consistent big hitter, not a load of seven pointers
  11. I'm sure you don't, but perhaps the person who told you does. I've been told many things in confidence regarding signings, often from very reliable "sources". I'd estimate that about half of them came good.
  12. Do you honestly expect the Glasgow promotion to move up and lose lucrative gate money from meetings against the likes of Edinburgh, Berwick, Newcastle, Workington? You're closest away track will be over 200 miles away
  13. I'm only interested in team speedway. Individual meetings do nothing for me. Agree that there's something special about speedway under floodlights Apart from missing Rye House and Pie & mash I'm enjoying it. Mind you, the last couple of days have been pretty nippy which I'm not liking. Still braving shorts at work though. Gotta show these Scots we ain't all southern softies!
  14. There won't be another meeting at Rye this year
  15. It's been interesting in the Glasgow pits for ages thanks to Worrall and Lawson
