Speedway 2025, Birmingham announce closure at the end of the season, problems at Worky, rain offs, many injuries, guests and more guests, riders going missing riding abroad (yes I know long standing issue).
After a long break the Comets get back into action against a Plymouth side who could cause the Comets some problems with riders capable of scoring big points.
Ex Comet Nicolai Klindt returns to Workington and will certainly figure in many top clashes with the home riders.
The weather forecast is looking good for the weekend so hopefully a big crowd will be present to cheer on Worky to a home victory.
Probably not enough days in the week to fit in fixtures when riders are available due to other commitments, stadium availability and injuries which affect team line ups.
Not ideal I know but until another system is brought in we are stuck with the current operating model.
I did think at the time when Oxford went up to Edinburgh with a made up team that it was stretching the credibility of the sport!
In my opinion it’s between Poole Redcar and Glasgow .
At the moment Poole look like the team to beat but injuries could play a part In the final reckoning.
The Comets are up against another powerful Pirates team this weekend where the team will be hopeful of getting some League points on the board.
The weather is variable at best ,warm with some showers this week, hopefully the weather will be ok, the track can definitely take some water without being affected to much.
