  1. Great afternoon of racing against the Gladiators on Saturday, good team performance from the Comets , thanks to all the guests who put a shift in. Star man for the Plymouth side was Dan Thompson who battled for every point. The score of 54 -36 might look like a walkover but the racing was close and exciting.
  2. Does any one know the approx date when Cardiff 2025 will be announced, I have looked on booking.com for next August and already most weekends the prices have gone through the roof. Maybe I should have pre booked four or five hotels on each weakened with free cancellation....................
  3. Yes we will know what we have to make up, 20, 25 or 30 pts!
  4. Well that was as good as a win after being behind from heat 7 onwards, Poole looking dominant as usual with a very strong top four . Once again a fine afternoons racing at Northside , heat 15 was again out of the top drawer!! Its a shame the crowd was down today , maybe due to summer holidays and some away the Wroclaw GP .
  5. Injury Statement - After a crash in Krosno last weekend I’ve been having a lot of problems with my chest and breathing during matches. It increasingly got worse, come Monday at Belle Vue I was unable to race at the level I or my team would expect. Monday afternoon I went for x-rays and have 2 cracked ribs at the top of my chest. I’ve taken this week off to recover as much as I can and give myself a chance to perform at my best in the play offs for Rybnik this weekend along with Belle Vue and Dackarna in the following weeks.
  6. Weather set to improve after todays monsoons, more local flooding.
  7. Workington have an up hill task to say the least to pull back a big lead from the first leg of this BSN semi final against the Pirates. Personally if the Comets get a win on the day I will be pleased.
  8. This Sunday afternoon fixture will see the Comets looking to get the fourth place in the league and get that play off position depending on how other results go .... Not sure at the moment who will guest for Workington or the full Plymouth side. Hopefully the weather will be ok as there have been some very heavy spells of rain this week.
  9. Averages are not the be all and end all but top three home averages out weigh Workys top three away averges...this is not unusual I know, riders are human and have off days ...just that Kemp, Cookie and Batch had bad days at the office. It was always going to be defeat but I thought the Comets might have got 37-38.
  10. Dont know the problem with Batch , he scored reasonably well at Ipswich when guesting for them recently and is usually our top points scorer on away duty.
  11. Result was not unexpected though I thought the score might have been a bit closer this time. Oh well.
  12. Just checked on booking .com and plenty of rooms available some at £100 less for two nights than last year.
  13. What was the attendance last night , looked quite low from the TV pictures.
  14. Mostly injuries I think which has affected Berwick season
  15. So its a change to Sunday afternoon racing this weekend which sees the Comets go home and away against the Bandits from Berwick. Workington have guests Erik Riss and Simon Lambert for Craig Cook and Tate Ziscke.
