Didn't say he was just stating that teams have declared a rider who isn't actually going to ride then used rr for him -

Isn't josh bates the most recent example got hurt sledging and his team used rr for him can't remember the team in question though. Agree totally with the mockery statement but it is speedway and nobody really cares anyway. -

I would say that's ok but when your starting 3 points under the limit it leaves us a massive hill to climb -

Don't see it personally the heat leading trio will still be up against riders of the same standard they have been up against for the previous seasons so don't see a 4 point average gain in them . Jordan will be ok would suggest his average will go to about 5/6 at home anyway probably 4/5 away but can see him taking multiple rides . Simon and theo will be ok at home and probably achieve there average but can't see any great strides away would prefer Kennedy over Macdonald but again from what I have seen before dont think they have a massive improvement in one leap . Starting so far under the limit and hoping we have 46/47 points in us each meeting is just folly. Sincerely hope I'm wrong but even in a short season it's going to be long and painful -

That lot will get mullered away and will lose a lot at home not competitive at all no heat leader except Auty and he's proven countless times he's not good at number 1 -

Don't mind last heat deciders but we have no chance of out scoring against most heat leaders in 13 or 15 . Gong to need to be at least 10 in front after 12 to hope to get anything at most meetings . -

That's probably a fair assessment but it is first meeting so won't of had the opportunity to be disappointed -

I hope so but can't see bwd fitting even with huge bending of averages without making another change. And in fairness to rob he's said he won't and I do admire his stance on that . -

With a number 1 who's better at 5 and 4 second strings and 1 reserve think it could be a long painful season for us if we don't get a genuine heat leader with the average left . I am a believer in as long as I've been entertained the results don't matter but it's hard to see anything but lots of defeats home and away -

so who do we really think could be coming in . with no riders fitting the average available think we could be well under the limit. if so would like to see connor mountain given a go. -
Premiership junior league
phillwhitewasmad replied to Petecc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
For me the Njl is a far better format with the 125 then 500 and know with the introduction of 250 makes it a complete package. Give kids an opportunity to join a club and become part of it and see a clear pathway throughout the levels if good enough. the Mdsl with its 500 ruling only gives opportunities to older riders who have come through the other cc classes elsewhere and have reached a sufficient level to be allowed to race with adults. Then it claims to of developed them which is not strictly the truth. -

Having spoken to the main man the rider in question will fit into the team as per the rules on the day he is announced. Just hope they don't announce him before they announce the new rules. -

Couldn't agree more but can you see Cardiff running as I can't .but let's blame the Bsp it makes for a good story -
Thing is it's a training league whether people like it or not and taking time off work for midweek matches is how speedway runs. If it can't be done at NDL level unfortunately you won't manage at championship level either .agreed some will fall by the wayside and others will progress for a multitude of reasons . Those who can fund the development won't leave because of this it will be other influences
-
Thing is from my experience i dont believe that any of the parents of the up and coming crop of riders who have funded them so far expect for the funding levels to drop just because they are in a paid position. We certainly dont and have had long conversations with others who all believe that funding if development continues will be into the lads early 20s. Personally we have told our pilot that if it isnt covering costs by this time he has to fund it himself or pack it in. Its a development league not fully expensed professional league.
