Hi mate he's on the 250s at the moment and not old enough for 2021 but will be involved with the njl when 250cc are racing at Berwick
-
Yep and it's been fantastic to watch Sam and Harry McGurk, Archie Freeman , Danny smith ,Jordan Palin , Leon Flint, Kyle Bickley, Luke Harrison and many others come through from 125 to 500 then into league racing. Best format tell me if there's a better one .

First and foremost I'm supportive because I see the opportunities going forward not just for my lad but also every other junior riding coming through the system. Our family agenda so you are clear is to use the system to the best of our ability and progress through it. We don't want to be a team that blocks the system for other riders to be able to get a team place. If the boy don't make the standard then so be it but if he then misses out it's not the system that's failed it will be him . I do believe that no rider should have 3 spots and if a rider reaches a certain average he should be not be allowed 2 spots and definitely not one in NDL

This has to be seriously the worst post I've read in ages the Njl is a far better product than any other junior league racing. They give riders from 125 cc the chance to compete from 8 years old and go right through to 500 . Other junior leagues give juniors a race when 15 on 500s only and above and already at an adequate level having raced in other junior competitions examples British youth or amateur meetings then try and claim they developed them . Don't give me mdl sdl are the saviours of speedway they are far from it. that said much respect to those who volunteer to do the organising

Sad to see the Island not running but in fairness having read a lot of these posts I wonder if Berwick Eastbourne and Newcastle would of joined under the previous rules and committed to a full season . Saying it is the fault of the Bspl is the usual line poured out by those usual suspects, something had to be done and decisions had to be made by the individual clubs one has said no others said yes . Always liked the vibe Martin and Barry put out and the way they promoted the sport and will be a big loss to the league but do feel what is happening at Berwick and Newcastle with clear and precise paths from juniors to seniors is there to be seen and long may it continue

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2020

He was there on at least 6 occasions last year so no big deal -
It's definitely an odd time sport is trying to give young riders a chance yet it's seemingly at the expense of an older rider who is still trying to find his level Mickie would be a good shout probably only slightly behind Sam McGurk and Archie Freeman in the new rider category. Only downfall could be his machinery. Good luck to him though he is a trier

Agree totally but do feel they powers that be ensure those riders who's average inflates due to the low average should be looked after especially the younger ones or newcomers. also I have no axe to grind with max hope he gets his opportunities in the leagues above
-
With the team average been low naturally lots of riders will increase there average sizeably. But with this surely the following year it will make riders like max unusable so we won't have the constant stream of he's to good to be there posts.

its a development team the way it should be local teams giving local lads a chance and long may it continue
-
As I understand it 12.67 left plenty of points available for a fairly strong team.
-
So it's safe for kids but not adults
-
There are no set dimensions for a track length and northside has previously had junior league and British youth championship racing held there so it must have conformed at that point
-
True story But I prefer this one
-
do we know he wasn't asked to be on the scheme
-
I'm a massive advocate of junior racing and scrapping the Ndl would be ridiculous do you not understand the massive step from second half level to league racing. Having it as you say would be madness from occasional second half's to championship in one step

In excess of 4K per meeting I heard and no revenue from food or drink outlets

Who are the Rising Stars?
phillwhitewasmad replied to enotian's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
My personal opinion is the ratings were set at the levels they are so teams in the main could keep the riders they had already signed . I do believe it's a good thing going forward though as long as the clubs stick to the spirit of it and don't start manipulating it. -

your right in your assessment i have said all along year one is a fudge due to certain teams demanding they kept previous unused team where ever possible. year two will be the deciding factor . only time will tell -

leicester will smash scunny over two legs so if it was a fix think it would of been better to have an easier draw -

Not sure personally would of thought so as no spectators in that area so plenty of additional protection can be added to protect riders

Bloody hell you only been in the league a week not turned a wheel yet and already upsetting everyone. -
A group seriously interested in reviving speedway have been in conversation with the stock car people. Sticking point is the landlords estimation of the value he requires per meeting.
