Eurosport have taken the Swedish Speedway play-offs off on the last two tuesdays so they could put the earlier US Tennis open rounds on. Then tonight they are not going to show the Mens Final live at all. Instead they are showing Australian Rules Football. They sure have a funny way of scheduling their different sports.

Boris Becker said it on the TV this afternoon Isn't it ironic that when they could have been showing live speedway from Sweden they were showing a tennis match between Isner and Giron. . What was Sky Sports 3 showing at the same time . A match between John Isner and M Giron.

Even more ironic that the tennis Eurosport are showing is exactly the same match as Sky Sports 3 which is Giron v Isner

Rather ironic that Eurosport are always showing repeats of Speedway Meetings( like Latvian GP on once again tomorrow) but never repeat tennis after the next day . As Germany do not have any tennis stars it is very seldom on TV as there is no interest by the public there

In my local tennis leagues the average age of the players is around 50. I would not think there would be more than 20 youngsters in 20 teams In a report in this weeks papers it says that the number of people playing golf has fallen in the last three years with the biggest drop in the under 21's There are even fewer teams in the local football leagues. At national level except for the Premier League the attendances are dropping alarmingly/ At most County Cricket matches the crowds are lower than Speedway.

Lets face it Speedway is a business first and a sport second. What meetings create the most income . Of course it is the play offs and grand final. If those people on here who are against the play offs were promoters they would soon change their minds. Having less fixtures is rather silly as it means riders earn less money but stadiums will cost more to run

Who will be riding in this Saturdays GP with injuries to Tai Woffinden, Nicki Pedersen and Jarek Hampel. then there is Darcy Ward. Who will replace these riders if they do not ride. ? Will the lack of interest recently in Poland to the big meetings will there be another low home crowd?

It has never been stated how much over the limit he was . If is only 1% over the limit its hardly a hanging offence is it. But if he is well over the limit that is a different story. So really we only have half the answer.

How much did they fine him?

Why should he not ride,he has not been found guilty of anything yet. I have been to Grand Prix 's and been in the hotels where the riders have been drinking the night before a Grand Prix. If it is zero tolerance to alcohol that would means if you had a pint of shandy before a meeting you over the limit. That is just stupid.

Years ago at Wembley in the second halves they would have races call the one lap dash. I feel that last night's meeting would have fitted the bill well as there was hardly any changing positions after the first lap (was there any)

Before we had live television of Speedway matches on TV people went to the tracks to see the top riders.The top riders were much more well known and put bums on seats as you could only see these top riders once or twice a year. Now with so many live matches they hardly create any excitement as we can see them every other week. . Get all live meetings off TV and the gates will certainly go up at the tracks. Ever since live Speedway meetings the gates have gone down at the tracks. When Speedway was booming we had about 6 World Of Sport recordings a season and none live. Unbelievably tonight we have two live matches on different channels. No wonder people do not go anymore.

There is a fixture clash as Live swedish Speedway is on Eurosport Surely this must be the first time ever that you can watch live Speedway on two different TV channels

What a disgrace for a Speedway Meeting. A 3 hour recorded programme that begins at heat five and no position of what the riders scores are until after heat eight.. If Eurosport cannot do better than this for a recorded programme they should give it up

Surely Speedway is at saturation point with so much live Speedway being shown. Why should anybody bother go to the track. You can watch live peedway every night of the week. All Speedway should be taken off the TV. otherwise in the end the stadiums will become empty. Ever since Live Speedway arrived on TV the attendances have got less every year. Even Poland is now suffering from TV overkkill

So probably will everybody else. And your point is

Heat One and NKI shoud have been excluded. Nobody touched Him and he went down on his own

So what would you do if your number One rider is injured as there would be no other riders available to take his place , as they would all be racing.

I went to a friendly football match at Ipswich 10 years ago versus a top Italian Team in August. It was a very hot day and I had a medical condition. I bought a Coke at the bar there at roughly twice the supermarket price . When I went to take my seat I was told you cannot take a drink with you. you can only drink it in the corridor.So I could not drink it and watch the match. I have never gone to a match since after seeing 500 matches there

Who will ride for Poland in the Final. Will Tomasz Gollob lose his place after a long long time. Is Jarek Hampel form good enough at the moment Surely Denmark should be favourites is they pick their best team but will they?

Is it quite incredible that how dangerous this sport of Speedway is that so many live to a grand old age
