  1. If it is delayed and not postponed, then the Swedes who are famous for their track work, have certainly got their work cut out to save this one.
  2. Whilst its hardly the signing that will shake the speedway World, I think Etheridge deserves a break and hopefully for him and Redcar he will do a decent job between now and the end of the season.
  3. After today hammering there must be someone out there willing to take our friends bet on.
  4. 161 pages. At least the should Woffinden ride for Team GB was put to bed last weekend, now it seems we`re off on a new argument altogether.
  5. Value for money, all I want is to walk out of Shielfield and know I have seen a decent nights speedway for my admission money. "Not a great match to watch", it was a great meeting......apparently.
  6. Both feline, but its the Panthers up next rather than the Tigers. With the lead they have it should be job done for Berwick.
  7. Agree with those about the host nation having to race in the race off rather than going straight to the final, maybe the top two could go to the final from the race off. As for the venue for next years SWC Prague gets my vote.
  8. Probably the most accurate and sensible thing you have ever posted on here.
  9. Berwick will need 10pts lead for the second leg, anything less puts Rye House as favourites, anything more and its a local Derby semi final with Newcastle.
  10. All part of being a professional sportsman, the Redcar and Plymouth fixtures have been there since the start of the season, with the Rye House one arranged weeks ago.
  11. Our play off hopes ended the night we lost to Glasgow, now we have to hope we get back to some kind of form tonight in readiness for the KOC which right now is keeping our season alive. Failure in that and the buzz will have buzzed off for another year.
  12. Doolan isn't a PL No1, it is only the lack of points from others than have seen him there, he is a very reliable 2nd or 3rd heat leader. Only the KOC that is keeping our season alive now.
  13. Berwick Rangers charge £1 for parking at the stadium, but your ticket you get enters you in the halftime draw, parking for the speedway is free. You could park in the Asda car park which is 5mins walk for the football then park at the stadium for the speedway for free.
  14. No Andreas Jonsson tonight for Lakeside so its R/R at No1.
  15. Not revealing ones source can be taken quite serious on these threads.
  16. I think the BSPA are on the right lines with the draft system, but haven't gone far enough, and/or have found a way of making a dogs dinner out of what should be a decent idea. I think having a draft rider from the NL should be protected so that that rider stays a No7, I would've like to have seen both reserves as draft riders though it seems it cant be done, maybe we should have both reserves as British riders, one protected draft from the NL and if that means one or two foreign riders miss out over then so be it, it seems some only get contracts because their average fits.
  17. Me and my other half did two nights at the Premier Inn in Denton for £124, bus tickets £7, offers on the meals at the hotel meant I got value for money IMO. I`d love to go to the Cardiff SGP, but hotel prices are crazy IMO, maybe one day though.
  18. We bought a day rider ticket, great value.
  19. We certainly don`t want a repeat of this from the KOC last season, Berwick seem to do all the hard work in the 1st leg and then...... http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/14783/berwick-rye-house-plkoc-2015
  20. As Berwick have shown track covers during the day of a meeting save meetings, but the rain must stop before the meeting starts. Obviously if it starts to rain during a meeting then its difficult to see what can be done on those occasions, what frustrates me at times is when there is only two or three races to go in meetings the debate whether to keep going seems to take a longer time than to run the races.
  21. Yet King and Cook were heat winners, take your point on Lambert, I hope he is in the Team GB for many years to come. Hopefully next season he will continue in our EL but pick up contracts in Poland and/or Sweden as I think that will further his career.
  22. Seems Tai will be releasing a statement later today about Team GB and his thoughts on the weekend.
