  1. Like I say the club needs its supporters club every bit as much as the supporters club needs the speedway club, working separately is no good, the supporters club can still be independent of the club yet still work hand in hand.
  2. Obviously its great we have speedway to look forward to and I take my hat off to those who have stepped forward with an investment that allows speedway to continue. I hope for the betterment of Berwick Speedway the club and it supporters club sit down and thrash out whatever differences they seem to have last season, as it did no good to either party and IMO they need each-other if the club is to survive and flourish into the future. IMO we don't need a VIP club especially when there is already a popular, well run supporters club run by people who bend over back wards to help the club. Obviously there is two sides to every story, but surely that should be put behind and confined to history.
  3. Delighted that speedway will continue at Berwick.
  4. One more rogue will make no difference what so ever round speedway would it.
  5. I would like to see the KOC scrapped, bring back 4`s qualifiers for a Finals day at an EL track, the new stadium at Belle Vue maybe, though from a personal point of view I am quite happy with the EoES.
  6. But what night, Friday is a no no with Edinburgh racing the same night. Saturday`s are a possibility, but with Workington and hopefully Berwick already racing on that night, would the BSPA want another Saturday night track up north as it helpful for the southern tracks to fit in fixtures on northern tours the way the things are now.
  7. Though on a smaller scale, one or two PL have regional cups already, Glasgow and Edinburgh for for the Spring Trophy, a trophy which is not much more than a spring nailed to a piece of wood. Berwick and Newcastle have raced for the Cock of the North Trophy, trophy is still in the design stage.
  8. Maybe HRH could take over at Berwick, no stately homes but I`m sure we can sort a chalet out for her.
  9. To be fair to Mr Barrie, when there`s nothing happening, his job is to fill the gaps, and lets face it nobody fills dead air better than Mt Barrie.
  10. Obviously there are natural breaks, track grading, extra time when a rider has two rides in a spin etc, but even these could and should be kept to a minimum.
  11. Looks like that Berwick, along with one or two other clubs, will need to declare their intention ahead of the AGM deadline of October 17th.
  12. Agree, I`d be amazed if she has ever heard of Tai Woffinden, though to be fair to her she has lost all her local tracks and would have to get over to Lakeside of a Friday night to see some speedway, and the traffic will be abysmal.
  13. I think pushing a meeting through quicker, when possible, keeps the interest and attention, obviously that`s down to the on night referee but there`s to many times we are sat on a Saturday night with an empty track for no apparent reason. Also it would give the club to have a proper second half for younger riders.
  14. I am sure a SGP going back to Australia will be reason enough to make this meeting a fantastic occasion.
  15. Looks like I am the only Berwick fan not to be in Torun, every time the cameras went onto the crowd I saw someone I knew. Might have to get my back side track side next year.
  16. Wow Pedersen and Doyle down the back straight, incredible.
  17. I have criticized Woffinden in the past when doing interviews, but that was incredible words and incredible sentiment, Woffinden is indeed a worthy Champion.
  18. Heat 13 reminded me of watching Doctor Who when I was a kid, as I watched most of it from behind a cushion.
  19. Lots of good racing, and great to see Nicki back up to speed.
  20. Fair enough suggestion, though when this has been tried at Berwick before, Shielfield has been busting at the seems, then the following week we get back to the normal crowd. Look what happened when the club reduced admission, and introduced kids go free, lots of free kids but no noticeable increase in paying adults.
  21. Piotr Pawlicki comes into tonights SGP for the injured Przedpelski.
