And look at the success Cradley have had, both in terms of trophies and crowds going to watch, and they haven't even got their own track. I am sure the current promotion have their reason but I don't understand why NL racing wouldn't or couldn't be a viable option, surely you need to keep as many options open as possible in Berwick`s situation, right now it seems its PL or nothing should a someone else not be found.
-
Surely the costs for NL racing would be lower than they currently are racing PL, and would at least give the chance for the club to be closer to breaking even than it does now. You never know NL could be the savior for Berwick Speedway both in the short and long term, so there would no need to go back to PL racing.

Stockholm Gp September 26

Send him to the tower. Does it really bother you. -
Please don't post rumours, its not a good idea on this thread. Looking at other clubs threads its seems changes are on the cards, hopefully they will be the changes both to the rules and to the leagues that see speedway in this Country stop its downward spiral, lets face its about time.
-
Rumour or fact. I agree, PL would be the preferred option for me to, but surely Berwick in the NL is better than no Berwick at all. Buying Berwick Speedway or investing in speedway full stop might not be an attractive proposition right now but if the necessary changes are made speedway might be more attractive to an investor in the future. IMO if Berwick shuts its doors now I cant see it re-opening.

This forum is full of rumours, its a discussion point, if you don't want to get involved then don't.

Reading rumours on other threads, there seems to be radical change on the cards at the up and coming conference for the make up of all three leagues. Rumours suggest that four current PL clubs will move into the EL with two current EL clubs heading the other way. Also it is suggested that two current PL clubs will drop into the NL. Berwick are unlikely to be one of the clubs heading towards next years EL (usual crew please note this is not a dig at the current promotion) but how do people feel about Berwick dropping to NL level. So far from statements from the club the NL scenario has been off the agenda, however if these changes happen, surely it should be considered, at least it would keep speedway in Berwick, and there`s no reason why they cant move up should British speedway get back on its feet.

There has been talk of Sheffield going EL before, obviously they have the facilities, but it didn't happen then and I cant see what has changed for it to happen now.

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
screm replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If there is going to be a national speedway centre in Manchester then it makes all kind of sense that it is used for prestigious meeting both from the FIM and on behalf of the BSPA. -

While I agree I would also like to see Emil back in SGP, it could also be argued that there may come a day that Emil will one day look back on his GP missing years with a tinge of regret. -
If anybody.......anybody out there has the foggiest idea what on earth this post is on about could you please explain, as it has me beaten.

After the golf the other day, Mr North clearly concerned about his farther. https://twitter.com/Chris_Holder23/media

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
screm replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Poole have been the best team in the EL this season, proved by finishing top of the EL. But I hope Belle Vue go on to lift the title, after so many years of not winning anything, and moving to a new stadium I think it would be good for speedway. -
To many conspiracy theorists on this thread.
-
So going by that, Vissing`s season was over in early August.
-
Pretty shabby from both clubs IMO, asking £20 admission for a meeting between PL clubs is a bit much, but it isn't to late for the promotions to change their minds and charge normal prices, how much good publicity, and extra people through the gate would that get them.
-
To be honest no, IMO Poole would've won with or without North. But we all know what Poole are up to, and fair play for using loopholes in the rules to their advantage. Whether it does the sport any good is another argument, but Poole don't seem to care.
-
If North is trying to stay busy, and help take his mind from his injured farther, how about racing in the meeting tomorrow night, or if his mental state is such that he cant, how about getting to his farther`s side in Australia.

I see Davey Watt has had his say, over on Twitter, if there was ever a rider who didn't need a keyboard in his life its him.
-
And while your there you can ask him how his golf went.
-
For all their faults I would hope that Coventry Speedway wouldn't lower themselves to that sort of tactic.
-
If Coventry have protested, then I fear a management committee in the interests of speedway decision coming on.
-
Your right, though you would've thought at least that could've been made public, all we know is that he has been advised to take time away from racing.
-
Everyone seems to be thinking the points limit will remain at 42-50, if changes are made to the make up of the PL, draft GB reserves for example, the points limit would be lowered quite a bit I would imagine. That would almost certainly rule out the likes of Kenneth Bjerre, should he fancy riding in the PL, would I would rather doubt anyway.
