  1. Its brilliant that Berwick have five extra fans coming on a regular bases, not knocking your efforts but sadly more and more people simply aren't coming any more. Agree with you, speedway in this Country is losing a fighting battle, and sadly there are clubs who are haemorrhaging on a yearly bases, propped up only my wealthy owners who can take that kind of financial hit, how long that can continue I wouldn't know. But one thing is sure, there will be places that will lose its speedway, I am sure we can all agree on one thing it is to be hoped that one of those places isn't Berwick.
  2. Wouldn't that just be like the thing, Scunthorpe will do well to get anything out of this meeting.
  3. Berwick Bandits Speedway Club Ltd 8 hrs · Ricky Ashworth will return to Shielfield Park this Sat 20th June . This will be Ricky's first return visit since the summer of 2013. It will be a very special & emotional night for all at Berwick Bandits Speedway . Let's hope our 2015 Bandits put on a great nights racing for Ricky and his family to watch . Posted on Facebook, what kind of reception will this fellow get, hope the roof is nailed down. Sorry but due to work I was not at that meeting, as I think was mentioned by another poster on that thread. Decent ideas though I would hope these have already been tried by the club, so maybe they have got nowhere. Speculate to accumulate is fine, and if it works your onto a winner, but if you speculate and don't accumulate your out of pocket, and if Berwick`s finances aren't exactly brilliant at the minute any monies lost could put the clubs long term future in doubt.
  4. Putting the British Final on before the GP would be a bad move IMO, maybe if they included it in the price of a SGP ticket but as its run by two different bodies, BSPA & BSI, they would be a non starter surely. If the British Final is to be moved from Wolverhampton, and there is a good argument either way, surely its better to move it to a permanent base at another track.
  5. Delighted to see Berwick getting another sky meeting, the promotion pull out all the stops for these meetings and are rewarded with good crowds, lets hope we get a few extra along and the meeting continues to show the PL in a good way.
  6. I know I`m going to regret this. In recent weeks I have had two short breaks, one in Prague for SGP, and then another in Kings Lynn for SWC so I haven't had the chance to read each and every post on the Berwick threads. But my attention is yours, to which subject to you want me to have an opinion on.
  7. Absolutely, I would love to get into a debate with Bigeddiechek, and I enjoy reading his posts. Sadly, it either turns personal or ends up with an I know more than you posts, so I don't bother anymore.
  8. If its true there are 500+ people getting the news letter, one wonders where they are on a Saturday night as, looking at some of the crowds on a Saturday night, they certainly aren't at Sheilfield.
  9. Like him or loathe him but speedway will be a duller place when Pedersen hangs up his kevlars.
  10. Best of luck to Garcia at Berwick, its a big gamble to bring in a brand new rider at this time but if other riders couldn't or wouldn't come there the club were left with very little option than to look a someone new, though its fair to say most of us thought it would be someone with a least a track record in European racing at least. So we have a replacement for Stichaur, hopefully now the club will look to get back to a seven man team asap, be it Barker and Vissing returning or new riders.
  11. Redcar Speedway ‏@RedcarBears 6m6 minutes ago Welcome to Redcar Bears, Jonas B Anderson. He will make his debut at home next Thursday
  12. Excellent news, I will look forward to having a catch up with your imaginary friend.
  13. Rocky will have forgotten more about speedway than our self important friend will ever know. Hopefully Rocky will be back to full health asap and get back to the racing.
  14. Chris Harris #37 ‏@BomberHarris37 3m3 minutes ago I have been told that news on Ben Barker's injuries will be issued tomorrow after some more scans

  17. Injury update posted by Claus Vissing on his Twitter page. vissingracingInjury update: It have been a really busy rehabilitation week First I had a good spirit talk with Flemming @trio-inspire. Then I have been at the physio @aktivform twice and I have improved every time✌️ After my improvements I have been out on my pushbike today - it felt so good So now I can start do more difficult workout next week on my pushbike and walking training with out crutches, so hope to be soon back on track .
  18. Glasgow and Edinburgh are two class teams, how brilliant would it be for the PL to have them race each other come the Play Off decider.

  20. Thanks to Robbie B for doing this, even if some of us didn't do very well.
  21. Any overnight or early morning rain will clear during the morning leaving a dry, bright afternoon and evening, so should be all go for racing tomorrow night.
  22. Very unlikely it will be live on EuroSport but I`m more hopeful it will be on Quest or another free to air channel.
  23. SWC rained off till tomorrow so Glasgow will be surely looking for a guest in place of Morris.
  24. Whoever made the decision not to bother getting to Peterborough made the wrong decision, maybe Peterborough would be better off without Lambert.
