Haven't checked the rules but we are missing our top averaged reserve, so could be allowed a guest. -
Berwick Vs Edinburgh 12/8 Live On Sky
screm replied to bigeddiechek's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Just watching the meeting over again, must say its coming over very well on Sky with some good comments from former riders Louis and Tatum. Funniest moment so far is the after race interview with Cook and Sedgeman after they had just collected a great 5-1 in Ht11. Cook says "there`s no passing round here at all" to which Chris Louis replies "bit unfair to say no passing as we have seen some from the home riders." Cook had the chance to be the hero for the Monarchs, yet couldnt manage to beat the Berwick No2 and a reserve. -

Delighted to say that Aaron Fox was released from hospital late last night with mild concussion, he also is sore but nothing broken. -

The fact that kus is missing has not been announced by Berwick, very shabby. -

Quite an extraordinary night of racing at Shielfield, one which I am sure Sky would've lapped up. Meeting looked done and dusted at the end of Ht10, Berwick 18pts up, having seen off both tactical rides, but then a fantastic come back from Edinburgh which left us with a last heat decider, step up Bellego & Kus who became hero`s on the night. Obviously the meeting was marred by a nasty crash involving Matty Wethers and Aaron Fox, I haven't yet heard of any definitive news as yet on both riders but I hope for some good news later today on both riders. Take away the Sky razzamatazz and it was another good win for Berwick, over the team top of the pile. Wether its by luck or judgement but Berwick are on to something with this team, could turn out to be a very exciting end to the season. I haven't read the other post so I`m sorry if this has already been posted but it was announced last night that there will be a double header meeting coming up on the 23rd of August, with Newcastle and Rye House being the opposition, the meeting will start at 6-30pm. Also Berwick will take on Workington at Shielfield on Wednesday September 10th at 7-30pm, with admission prices being reduced to £10 for the meeting. -

Its probably more like October than August but we will beat the weather tonight. Bits and pieces of rain for the last few hours but should be enough to affect things. -

How so, should Berwick finish second, they would fully deserve that position. -

There is no reason to stop anyone paying £20, hand over a £20 note and don't ask for any change. -

Cheers, maybe a new career is opening up for me. Had rain for a while, strange thing is ground is hardly damp, perfect for the track IMO. Still quite windy though probably not as windy as early this morning, but you still consider this as a windy day. Looks like they are just putting up the Pearson/Tatum studio on the third bend banking, that`ll be fun for them. -

Expect a visit from the Berwick Forum Police very soon, we all have to assume the meeting is on, apparently social media weather updates can be out dated and pessimistic. We are due to get some rain during the middle part of the day, though hopefully by evening these will have all blown over, if its as windy as yesterday and this morning poor old Nigel and Kelvin are in for an exciting evening. -

Tomorrows forecast is okish, there will be showers around tomorrow but there will be a brisk wind which will blow any showers we get over pretty quickly hopefully. It will be on the cooler than of late, but there is nothing in the forecast at the minute that should put the meeting in doubt. Forecast duly delivered as requested, without a hint of pessimism. -

I claim to be no such thing, my meteorology skills go no further than looking out of the window and posting what I see, or getting the weather forecast online, if that makes me a meteorologist then so be it. -

Couldn't agree more, I`d love to know what weather system they use that makes their weather forecasting skills and predictions so right and ours on here so wrong, and as you say many weather updates are requested by travelling fans both from the Berwick area and from the away team. I`m sure the Berwick fans are grateful to the home supporters weather updates when Berwick are the away team. -
More big points for a couple of riders in Poland today, Steen Jensen scored an impressive 10+4 in his Pila`s comfortable home win against Rawicz. Meanwhile over at Krosno Claus Vissing scored 14pts in his sides home defeat with Wanda Krakow.

Workington V Scunthorpe 10/08/14 19:30 Hrs (pl)
screm replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
All perfectly fair, but in this instance the question remains, how could the Workington possibly control all the incoming bad weather to miss Workington. Fair enough the weather forecast has had this rain in it for a few days now but at the time of agreeing this date with Scunthorpe nobody could've known the weather for the day of the meeting. -

screm replied to Super Blue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There is a very real possibility, that with all these rain offs a team could qualify for a play-off place by the cut off date, yet at the end of the season, when all the PL have been run finish outside the top six, maybe even win the PL. -

At the end of the day, each and every athlete is responsible for what goes inside their body, and by athlete I don't just mean track and field, so Dudek is responsible for taking whatever he has been alleged to have taken, innocently or not. -

The Workington promotion can control many things, but even they cant control the weather, the whole of the northern half of the Country is feeling the after affects of a hurricane that has come over the Atlantic, Glasgow is off, Newcastle is off, it is no surprise that Workington is off. Have you ever considered just how much each one of these rain offs is costing the promotion. -

I think that fine remains un-paid, and while it does there is no chance of a return.
