Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?
screm replied to bri1966's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Having seen Adam Roynon at Berwick last night,I say he is nowhere near ready for SWC meetings. Kings Lynn might be as far as it goes for Team GB this year, little or no chance of winning the meeting IMO 3rd place will be as good as it gets. Team GB Harris Woffinden Cook Barker Id include Nicholls instead of Barker but as we know he has no interest in racing for Team GB. -

The points Pedersen has scored in the last few GPs,riding with a broken arm,has been a miracle, give the bloke a break (no pun intended). Can we put the non-exclusion of Pedersen in his 1st ride as 1st night nerves on the part of the referee. -
Instead of who, sorry but cant see it happening.

Decent if unspectacular meeting tonight where Berwick always seemed to have the upper hand.MOTM was Tamas Sike who was excellent, very eye catching in Ht9 when he went from last to 2nd.Quite impressed with Luke Crang,I think this was the 1st time Ive seen him and I like what I saw. For Dudley, they were held together as expected by Roynon,Starke and to a lesser extent Worrall, though I was impressed by Nathan Greaves whos efforts deserved more than his 3pts. I was interested to see the return to racing of Adam Roynon,IMO he is still a fair way away from being a decent scorer at PL level, which is where he was pre-injury,obviously time on track is what he needs so I hope he finds his form very soon. -

Craig Cook did a decent job last week stepping in for the absent Kennett, sadly for Berwick Cook with race for Edinburgh next saturday,so Berwick will need to look elsewhere for next weeks guest for the again absent Kennett. -
I was one who wrote him off,how wrong I was,Woffinden is right in contention for a high finish and should easily retain his place for next year,

Weather forecast has improved significantly over the last 24hrs,right now its dry and bright, theres the chance of a shower during today but those will be light and scattered so we`re just as likely not to get any. -

Fair enough but what of the clubs in the PL that already have air fences or polyfoam fences, for example the fence at Berwick was in part paid for by either sponsorship and/or donations from fans.

Steve Worralls scores at Newcastle havent been that hot of late,he and Newcastle must be hoping that a few race wins in this meeting might help in that direction. Good week in Berwick weather wise again this week, and its glorious right now, showers are forecast for later today and more is forecast for tomorrow. -

I agree,if not one of the Berwick juniors then Im sure a rider from another club couldve been slotted in at No2 for Dudley just for the night.James McBain possibly. -

Once again the PL has delivered a great speedway meeting,by now Im sure Sky can see where the real entertainment lies, and it sure aint the EL. Also, whether his team is involved or not you can always guarrantee that Rossiter will make a total pillock of himself. -

Enjoyable meeting last night,a one where Berwick always held the upper hand though thanks to mainly Barker & Risager Ipswich were well deserving of their points, how good was Barker,as impressive a performance Ive seen at Shielfield for many a year,he won races from the gate and from the back.Barker was well backed up by Risager but a pointless 1st and last ride proved costly.Disapointed in the performance of Leigh Lanham,on a track where hes scored well in previous visits he looked a shadow of that rider. A workman like performance from the home riders,no absolute stand out rider but no rider let the team down.Good to see Kozza Smith get away with what couldve been a nast crash in Ht7,though I must admit seeing his moves on the track when trying to avoid Tungate and then Starke I think he`d be a wow on the dance floor. Everyone agrees with you. Spot on,maybe this could be the difference in Berwick finishing well up the league than not. -

Im sure our track team will have learned from last years meeting with Ipswich and will have prepared the track accordingly.Im also sure the track will have had plenty watering this week, giving the warm sunny weather we`ve had in Berwick, and happily that weather continues this morning and is forecast to stay that way all day. A 16pt haul at Armadale last night would lead me to believe that Cook is struggling all that much. -

You`ve got to hand it to the Newcastle promotion, season on season they produce teams that challenge for PL titles, and they have done so again this season.
