Message To The Leicester Promotor

After listening to your promoter I cant see why the Leicester fans complain, apparently you have one of the best tracks in the country where theres as much passing than on other tracks. -

Maybe some EL see a Sky meeting as a deserved right for being in the EL,and have forgot hoe to promote a Sky meeting. Not all mind you, from what Ive seen Wolverhampton and Kings Lynn always seem to put on a good show, but others like Poole last night really need to up their game some what. Compare that to some PL clubs who do seem to make an effort when they get the cameras. -

Giving the meeting we had on Sky last tuesday, tonights efforts at Poole make me take back everything Ive ever said about our track at Shielfield. Simply shocking. -
Glasgow Tigers V Edinburgh Monarchs Lc 26/5/13 @3p.m.

True,I know hes doing the Czech League, not sure if hes doing Poland this year so extra meetings over here would come in handy but as you say his Longtrack meetings would probably stop that, certainly as far as the PL is concerned. -
If your suggesting that Bech has signed for Plymouth, then that would be a fantastic signing, but with the amount of meetings he would likely miss would it be a sensible one.

Fair enough but if Leicester stick with Karlsson and theres a job going at Glasgow for him then as a pro speedway riders travelling shouldnt be a problem.FWIW I think Leicester will release Karlsson in favour of Roynon, though it might be not a given that Karlsson goes to Glasgow. -

Giving his scoring by Karlsson of late you wonder if Leicester wont keep him, that of course will release Roynon and if hes going to continue with Coventry he will need a PL team, that team could well be Glasgow. -

Good grief,if 2 PL teams turned up this strong you wouldnt complain,so why complain now. Its not as if you go. -

Agreed,Screens efforts over the meeting at Workington saturday and at home yesterday were excellent, but hes part of a team thats just been on the wrong end of 2 hammerings.Credit to the Glasgow management for being quick with their apology, its does seems theres more than 1 Tigers riders has ridden their last match for them. -

Surely getting beat by a 4 man Newcastle team was punishment enough. -

Fair enough, can we take it then that Swindon wouldve been fined when they turned up at Kings Lynn without Hans Anderson as their No1,Lewis Blackbird taking his place. Then Rye House a couple of weeks ago when Nelson missed their meeting with Sheffield having had his visa turned down by Ukraine. -

I find it very strange how a team can be fined for being understrength, and win the meeting. -
Plymouths threatened changes might need to happen sooner rather than later.

No he doesnt but your quote was about giving absolute priority to British fixtures, something that Anderson isnt doing tonight, and Swindon have a guest facility at their disposal. -

Id imagine the only other thing Newcastle couldve done was to appeal to the BSPA that Lindgren was witholding his services,Id say Newcastle wouldve got a guest facility for tuesday, but lost Lindgren for 28-days. A no win situation. -
About 3 a night.

Im just delighted Ludvig wasnt there. Im sure Berwick had a similar situation with Alden last season,if he didnt fulfill his Swedish fixture SVEMO would stop him racing over here,so they used an NL rider.. -
Sky's Additions To It's Speedway Coverage.
screm replied to Stephen7's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I met Nigel Pearson after last tuesday meeting at Berwick, first of all you couldnt wish to me a nicer person, and secondly its obvious he is a true speedway nut.So to those who critisize I suggest we start looking at Pearson as an asset to speedway coverage on Sky.Its quite obvious that Sky & EuroSport think hes doing a decent enough job,so those who damn the man they are either in the minority or wrong or more than likely both. -

Given absolute priority to British fixtures is something that very few overseas riders do now, tonight you have Hans Anderson chasing Danish Final glory,if he`s to give absolute priority shouldnt he be at Swindon. Im sure Lindgren wouldve loved to have raced at Shielfield the other night, but his Swedish fixture wouldve been arranged months ago where the Berwick v Newcastle meeting was brought forward at a few weeks notice. Had lindgren told SVEMO is was not racing for Vastervik and would race for Newcastle, chances are you wouldnt have seen Lindgren race over here for quite some time. -

Nice to see the promotion coming out to say thank,as it says in the peice the night was a success off track, good crowd,an entertaining meeting for those that were there and just importantly a good meeting for the armchair fans.On track in terms of the result was the disapointing thing, had Berwick got a last heat 5-1 I think Nigel Pearson wouldve exploded. I hope the promotion put as much effort into promoting every meeting from here on in,as it just goes to show what can be achieved. -

Yes I heard that to,for the amount their going to get used,if thats the case, their a helluva expensive set of kevlars Kennetts got. I posted a while ago that as things stand there are no fixture clashes between Berwick & Swindon,so now he is getting extra income from the PL,you`d think Kennett would be keen to keep the arrangement going for as long as possible.Indeed,if he stays long enough he would get an average that might help him get a doubling up position for next year, whether thats a Berwick of course is another matter. -

Yes he did himself no favours, hopefully it will be an ever bigger lesson learned. Apart from the dive Starke had another useful meeting for Berwick.
