I keep reading comments like this, but Danny has a 9.23 ave (9.54 with bonuses) for Redcar in 2025. Unless maybe he's had low scores in challenge matches & the KOC?

I didnt think KLynn would win it even at 6 points up, Ippo are too strong.

The track caught the Ippo boys out early doors, i'd say. Sounds like the track man was caught out by the weather as well, crap track apparently.

Yep it looks like the track caught the Ippo boys out early doors. A bit disappointing to be six up and not push them closer but that's a pretty good effort really as they are so strong 1-7.

Daytime meetings in the UK are a waste of space. Never ever remember a good one in a lot of years watching speedway. &nbsp
 

The track “material “ just doesn’t hold the moisture. It’s either a dust bowl or verging on waterlogged ( like Landshut SGP)

I said on another thread the other day that the daytime meetings often lead to slick tracks and a lack of home advantage at Foxhall and many other teams fans scoffed at the idea kings Lynn would be our closest challenger at home so far this season, took a while but the boys got themselves in front for a comfy win in the end.

be interested to know how much extra revenue a bank holiday meeting brings on the gate and whether it’s still of value to run them as we get decent crowds on Thursday nights and the daytime meetings the track is always tough to keep the moisture in the material to provide grip and a dirt line

I've heard it said that a daytime summer meeting, needs water the day before, and starting  again at around 4am  as needed on race day to keep the moisture in the track. Not an easy task to get in right i'd imagine.

Water going down till past midnight the night before mid summer time, hot sun cold wind in May makes balancing watering extremely challenging.

Preparing a track isn't difficult, just requires time and effort.

If needed, you water from the day before as mentioned above. Little and often.

This modern Morris phenomenon of flooding the track minutes before heat 1 and then every 4 heats is a disaster and you see it every SGP round.

For league matches the clubs just need to put more thought and effort into it.
