I dont expect 12 points a meeting but he is meant to be a heat leader so should expect 8 minimum Agreed 100%. We were very lucky. Injury to Polis and Edinburgh efs when on 5-1's handed us the match. we are a 2 rider team plus probably Tobias at the moment. We need to improve and Cairns is not the complete answer. Is the captaincy affecting Zack, perhaps offer it to Richard, if he wants it?

Lewis has been suffering with his brand new equipment in every meeting so far. Consistency and the right set-ups for different track conditions are a struggle at the moment. Mr Blobby
Well what a mess we made of that last night Poole there for the taking and we make a complete mess of it. Could probably make at least 3 changes to this side at the moment but who knows who you bring in. Long but short season ahead once again. Thank god for victor or we’d struggle to score 30 weekly. I'd agree it was a disappointing score but sometimes 6+ riders will score 4 points. Wether Poole were lucky or not, they got the win & will be in the play-offs. Edit. I think I misread the post I applied to. Mind you as Kerr was signed on a sub 8.00 average I don't know why you'd expect 8 points minimum. Between 7-9 would be what (from 4) would be what you could expect of him, but obviously hoping for more. How many years has Lewi been riding.Set-ups are just excuses. He had ‘bike issues’ at Berwick last season with a few EF’s.

A rider averaging 6 will get anywhere between 4-8 a meeting you would suggest Poole fans think anyone who joins their club should improve …. Kerr isn’t going to get anywhere between better at his age….. why do Poole fans think he should get 9-10 a meeting? You sign someone on 6.23 at his age well guess what he won’t be banging in double figures that often

King Jamie
Drama aplenty at sunny Armadale last night as Captain Cook and his merry band of Pirates sailed south with league points in the bag. Monarchs only have themselves to blame for the defeat. Heats 12 and 14 summed it up. While I can accept mistakes from the relatively inexperienced Dayle Wood, I can't afford the same leeway to Michele Castagna 2 races later. Some may call his efforts over trying. I call it gross stupidity. Plank. Not that it really mattered as the impending heat 15 1-5 was blindingly obvious. We've conceded a 5-1 in either heat 13 or 15 in all meetings bar one (Berwick at home) thus far this season. That said, we couldn't have had a much tougher start. Glasgow home and away twice plus Poole at home, with Berwick (H&A) sandwiched in there also. The upcoming clashes with Plymouth and Workington should give us a much better idea of where we are. Concede 1-5s in those meetings and we may as well give up. Hats off to Victor P for scoring almost half our points. He must be one of the best reserves to grace second tier shale in the UK. That said, his one failure last night (heat 11) turned the meeting in the visitors' favour. Hats off also to Darryl Ritchings. Not the worst performance I've ever seen from a visiting number 7 on their first visit. One further thing, aside from the racing. The sun delay seemed somewhat unnecessary. Whatever happened to those goggles with tints through them which acted like shades? Do riders not keep a pair spare nowadays? If so, why didn't they bring them? It's not as if the big yellow thing only just appeared yesterday. Indeed, if such a product is still in existence, I hope all riders who didn't pack a pair in their kit bag were fined. Heavily. In Lawson's interview he said it was dangerous to go from bright sunshine to almost 'pitch darkness' in a split second, hence the need for the break. Shades would not have helped. The sun delay -- first time I think I've seen it happen at Armadale in nearly thirty seasons -- was a bit of a surprise. An experienced rider explained to me last night that the sun seemed really very bright (atmospherics, clear sky, whatever?) and their problem wasn't riding into it on the third bend, it was the sudden dramatic change from the brightness to shade as they approached the coo-shed. Simply, their eyes couldn't react fast enough to handle the change. Hopefully not to be a regular difficulty -- it is Central Scotland after all, and sunshine as bright as that isn't really the norm...... It is said that one man doesn't make a team but Victor is certainly challenging that i.e. 10,9,10,19,16,19 !
