Great but if you have to chop 4 say good riders next year what's the point?

It would take a fair few matches I would have thought to lower the averages enough to consider next season.Plus who will pay them points money for points they haven't got.I knew a rider who was quite clever in keeping his average slightly lower without losing points money.He would never throw races though.

I am sure that Doyle and Thompson will be pleased to see you gloating about their injuries and inability to continue their excellent form so far this season.

What type of speedway fan takes pleasure out of riders being injured.

I always felt he has under achieved in his career thus far - despite the obvious bit of leicester winning being a bit of a blow for the Witches - its good to see both him and Rowe having good seasons.

because fans only think about the next race. Ipswich strike me a very forward thinking club who are well backed. It is a numbers game at the end of the day.

Everybody saw that coming unless you have no speedway knowledge 

I think Sheffield would have lost at King’s Lynn if it was r/r for Holder and Hume for Kerr 

And to gloat over riders being injured just shows a lack of class 

Every Ipswich fan congratulated Leicester tonight …. Yet we get weird accusations of us lowering our averages …. Then the Belle Vue idiot and now a Sheffield fan gloating …. Belle Vue who we thrashed twice and Sheffield who we held to 2 points …. I’m sure if we have our full 1-7 back we aren’t exactly worried

You can’t sugar coat this. 
 

You might have injured riders and be gutted but why should belle Vue and Sheffield fans have sympathy for you. We are all fighting for top spot. 
 

It’s not gloating about injuries, I wish the injured riders well as I’m sure others will. 
 

Ipswich fans getting on there high horses for nothing here.

It is very hard to replace a rider of Doyles calibre, r/r only works if the other 6 all perform well, if as was the case tonight other riders are off form a little then it becomes even harder and makes you vunerable, the best solution is a guest and I don't know why one wasnt used.

The reality is the Witches should have still won this the fact they didn't is largely down to a bad night for TomB and also the fact that Emil still isn't riding to the level expected, if he doesn't gate he doesn't seem to gave the speed to get past. He ran a 0 in heat 13 off gate 4, which perhaps can happen, but he struggled in both heats 1 and heat 7 but he did eventually pass Howarth.

The Witches scored 5+1 from the R/R and I am convinced Dan T would have in all probability got more than 2+1. Although Danyon tried hard.

It was a classic sign of something wrong in heat 14 the Witches emerged from bend 1 on a 5-1 - Kemp fell and remounted - but Howarth managed to pass both Brennan and then Hume who was leading on the 3rd lap (was it/) which to me sealed the Witches fate. The fact is that shouldn't have happened.

Leicester were compact and if you are a home rider they provided far too many heat winners 8 in total every rider but Joe T scored at least a win for them oddly every rider but Danyon got a least a win for the Witches. Becker always does pretty well at Foxhall but tonight he was very good.

I thought King rode pretty well - but was well adrift in heat 15, had Tom been on form he would have probably ridden heat 15 instead.

Perhaps not a surprise at the result. In their positions both Doyle and Dan are irreplaceable.

Results are going to be iffy for a while for the Witches until both the injured boys are back.

They will be in the play offs and so long as that injury curse stays away there isn’t a team that will match them. 
No surprise to see certain fans rubbing their hands with glee at the Witches losing at home. It’s the only hope they have of their team winning anything this year.

Missing letter

We lost that meeting out of the gate simple as that, always going to be hard to cover the loss of Doyle and Dan but we were consistently beaten from the gate all night which isn’t good enough at home, fair play to Leicester they rode well all night, Luke Becker in particular best gating I’ve seen from him he was very impressive all night.

brennan and Emil both seem to be having bike troubles/lack of confidence in their equipment, neither looking happy or anywhere near as fast as we know them to be when at their best, needs addressing by the business end of the season.

In match report Richie says he’s hopeful we could have one or both injured boys back for next league meeting which is June 12th which is promising, that may come too soon of course but if that’s a possibility hopefully we’ll be back to full strength in June sometime
