Just sounded like 2 or 3 annoying fans shouting incessantly. There were more than 2 or 3 Sheffield fans, there were probably 15-20 (maybe a few more) in the second stand on the first bend.... if they made any noise I didn't hear them, the Sheffield fans were louder for the pairs at Leicester a few years ago. The fact Musielak won the coin toss but chose gate positions in heat 15 was absurd! Get to heat 15 in contention! I've seen enough of Castagna to know he isn't ever going to be more than a steady reserve in this league. I haven't seen much of Rew but I've seen enough to know he is better than the effort put in tonight. Jeppeson & Hagom looked out of their depth and probably are. The RR was badly utilised, Rew & Zagar both got it immediately after a programmed ride. Unfair re Jeppesen. He just doesn't like Perry Barr. His away average [2025 all official fixtures] is higher than: Zac Cook, Rohan Tungate, Nikolai Klindt, Erik Riss, Anders Rowe, Keynan Rew, Ben Cook. nb Zagar and MJJ (while there) also average more away. When 3 of your team seem to prefer riding away it suggests that the problem is not the riders but the track.
heathen52
Yet people keep telling me nowt wrong with the track, looking at the shape it looks okay but week in week out it fails to allow for good speedway, there seems to be one line and when riders move off that line there is nothing for them, for years i have banged on about the track but nothing has been done, now it's to late no point when they are closing in a few months. The post above seems to suggest the riders seem to prefer to race away from Perry Barr which just about sums it up, may i suggest Brum ride every meeting away from home at least Tolley would not need to dip so deep into his pocket every meeting and make excuses most weeks about the track prep, hey we would still have a Birmingham team if they did that and then they could drop down to the Championship, I had better keep my mouth shut knowing the BSPL they might think that is a good idea 😉🤣.
WookieboyDon
That track was unacceptable and deserves a fine. And the excuse from Tolley doesn't make sense. "We couldn't water the track on Sunday as a trench had to be dug on the start finish line." What about the rest of the track?! Clown show.

Why leave it a day before the meeting before digging up the track. the trench only needs to be wide enough for a wire. Spade width at most. No problem for a tractor with its big wheels. if the trench is wider cover it with plywood to enable the tractor to travel over. The truth is they completely overwatered the track far too late. Just say it as it is.  Apologise to the last few fans you still have. You can see why no riders wanted to return from last year.
InTheDeepStuff
So glad I didn’t waste my time going to this one, was a lot easier just to switch BSN off, absolute shambles from Birmingham

Which is the most ironic thing... Every BSN match seems to, on here, get fantastic feedback about the team doing the commentating, and the overall meeting presentation... Far more positive comments than the actual racing ever seems to get... Which is a bit of an issue for the sport really isn't it? Keep up the professional approach, as BSN, and the Speedway Star, truly show the sport punching above its weight...
chun
Even BSN couldn’t polish that turd.  I rarely switch off speedway I’ve paid for but that sh1tshow was just making me angry
marko
Sounds like another great advertisement for the sport, thankfully the only ones who saw it are the diehard fans or who paid BSN. I was never going to sub to BSN this season, it’s not their fault but the sport now is just going further down the drain with tracks no better than some grassy field, and I think they will struggle over time as who is going to pay money to watch paint dry?

Imagine much is the same with not bringing in a MJJ replacement. Feel sorry for the Brummies fans and Midlands area as like the South, the area has been stripped of any speedway. Read in Speedway Star only 15 tracks in the UK.  1

So does that mean they will choose the less attractive fixtures for streaming so as not to have a negative effect on the gate ?, that would be the kind of thought process the BSPL seem to specialise in. People with more pin badges than real teeth, 80s/90s dance music at the tapes, dreadful working mens club banter on the centre green and people who go on about bring back upright engines, monkey masks, open helmets, rediffusion, polio, smog... Best line that I've ever read on here! Don't forget those sewn on badges 'Happiness is 40-38' ! Your profile has brought that one to mind? 😀 Have to say, the most adrenalin rush that I get from going to PB atm, is how many cans of Thatchers Gold I can smuggle in (with pockets bulging...) past the so called 'security' guys.... Trouble is....its that quiet....you even have to be mindful that you don't wake someone up when you open the can!
