anyway just got back home after watching a excellent meeting and max Fricke was shifting, lot of hard racing, and all fair. all the riders putting plenty of effort,

Max traditionally starts the season well, then has a dip, before hitting form again in all his leagues about now..

It is the play offs where he struggles to win his head to heads against his fellow GP riders...

If he can sort that, Leicester have a great chance against anyone..

Total misinterpretation of what I said about the track but carry on

Why do Belle Vue struggle at Ipswich and Leicester? With the exception of Bewley and Kurtz who are world class

I think that because the Belle Vue track is so good and fast and wide open is actually a possible hindrance to some of your riders when they have to ride away

Of course the Belle Vue track is the best in the country and of course you will get more passes there then most tracks but you can’t have every track like that so you have to find a way to win at other tracks or at least keep it close

You have a better 1-7 than Leicester but they ride Foxhall better than you do … they also ride Belle Vue better than we do lol

Tonight we saw some good close racing with passing and repassing inside and out, Brady team riding, and we also saw so called throttle jockeys not being able to just sit out wide and blast easily round the boards, it was an enjoyable meeting. Over the years of watching speedway ive seen many "technical" tracks and have seen good racing on some and on others the only time you would see a pass is if the rider in front made a mistake. Each track can have it own merits so agree with your final analysis, why slag any track as Ivan Mauger once said there are no favoutite types of track they are all there to be ridden. Not sure i agree we can beat Sheffield over two legs tbh, i dont think we will get past the semi stage, Sheffield were done for when they lost Woffy who would have made them hard to beat over two legs given their home form, i think an Ipswich v Leicester final would be two good meetings.

In terms of a contest that's the best meeting I've seen at NSS this year.  Zach Cook take a bow.  Only win from the gate was his defeat of Fricke in heat 5 other than that did it the hard way, including facilitating Lidsey to get past Masters in his third ride.  Then curb crawled in heat ,15 giving Fricke no opportunity to move of the inside which allowed Kurtz the freedom of the wife line to eventually overhaul Fricke.

For a 16 year old Cairns is a not a small lad, other than the tall Kemp he must have been  the heaviest rider on show.  Wasn't quick enough to compete with anyone other than Thompson tho evening but didn't disgrace himself.

Ref was holding the tapes too long at the start which led to the two tape exclusions.

Zishcke showed a little more tonight, but Kemp was the star performer in the reserve berth gating really sharply in his first few rides.

Bewley, Kurtz & Lidsey were a little off the boil didn't have answer for Fricke, fortunately for Belle Vue Douglas had a poor night by his usual NSS standards.

Very entertaining meeting with passing in thirteen heats and not just The Aces as several heats had passing & repassing. Had the scores been called a bend three lap one as is the case with speedway these days, we would have lost 37-53. Thankfully, for me anyway, the races produced my kind of speedway, not to everyone’s liking I understand but just brilliant in my eyes. Heat 15, Brady out Fricked, Fricke - wonderful.

Sadly our injury jinx put paid to the bonus but I still feel we’ll remain above Kings Lynn in the qualifiers.

I wish Zach could bring his BV form to Poole, he got passed by Zische and Vuolas at Workington.

One of the key plusses for watching Speedway at the NSS is the fact that the Aces do, so many times, get out gated by their rivals....

And then use their set ups to reel in their opponents. Set ups based on the home advantage every team has...

The challenge for the Aces lies away from home where such starting costs them greatly, given the much less opportunity to pass that most other tracks offer..

Sheffield last night was fast, with the riders riding out wide on the one dirt line, which in itself is exciting to see, however, from a TV perspective it looked very much like follow the leader with lots of races having four riders equidistant apart riding over the same part of the track...

A track with bends just too narrow, and too slick, for the straight line speeds generated, which negates passing opportunities...

The NSS also provides grip on the inside up against the kerb for pretty much most of the meeting which provides another passing opportunity that many other tracks seem to struggle to provide...

Another really good meeting at the NSS.

Bewley out testing machinery after the meeting, he obviously wasn't quite at his best tonight, but hats off to Max Fricke who was excellent all night.

Nice to see Zischke being competitive and his heat 14 exploits must give him some more confidence.

Given the choice, I think I'd prefer Leicester in the semis, but our reserves (and Blodorn away)  are too much of a long tail this season.

I find his Poole form baffling tbh thought he would have stepped up and continued his improvement this season, best ive seen him ride tonight so maybe he will now replicate that form for you?

Pressure of being captain? Quite a few outgoing personalities in the team now. Wouldn't be the first rider whose form has dipped with it.

To be fair Lisa he was our second best rider at Workington it was just heat 15 when he got passed by Vuolas and Zische.

I think BV fans wish he could ride half decent at Leicester and Ipswich … 2 sides they may need to overcome to win the league
