old bob at herne bay
Do they have stock cars at Wimborne Road that cause the bumpy track ?
Steve Shovlar
Thought it was a poor meeting tonight. Racing was poor bar a couple of heats. Track was definitely bumpy in places. Need to get the blade on it. Underwatered as well. Edinburgh put up a fight first half of the meeting but faded away.

Never known a set of fans who go from wanting riders sacked to lauding them … fickle You obviously like it, otherwise you wouldn't buy the stream

Bitza
Well much as "track whinging" makes me yawn, you could see riders having issues with uneven track, unpredictability which leads to limited overtakes. But at least it's the same for both teams, and gave a fair result. If I was the Edinburgh promoters I'd be asking for money back from MPT, he's a shadow of his former self, should probably hang up his kevlar imo. Steve, you seen to be a chap in the know probably been watching Poole as long as I have Mudge,Fossengen Broadbelt era so can you explain why some weeks over many years the track is bumpy with holes appearing in different places giving fuel to all the Poole haters to have a dig. I must say I know nothing about track prep but it seems a constant thing at Wimborne Road every so often the track is poor can't deny it so do we have cheap shale, poor equipment or a man sitting on a tractor who thinks he's harvesting wheat and not laying a speedway track or does anybody else know proper replies only please.

No can't have that.I'm happy to say it can be iffy sometimes but if you saw Harris v Doyle a few years ago and the Turbo Twins many heat 15 tussles it not always iffy if it was then why do the star riders we've had over the years come to Poole (Rikaardson,Crump etc )

So are you suggesting that the Poole managment are deliberately trying to save money by scrimping on track preparation and reducing the amount they would have to otherwise pay their riders in respect of points money? The original poster suggested that if the track was made 'good' Poole would romp to even bigger wins. So presumably the Poole management save money on track preparation and reduced wages to their own riders as Mr Head suggests they would score even more points and earn even more points money if the track was 'good'. defolddad
I have never seen as much work put into the track as the last few seasons since covid. I can't think or a better way to make a hole or bump in tightly packed sediment than by passing a heavily nobbled tire rotating at upteen revolutions per second so surely it should be widely accepted that racing will cause bumps, ruts or polished smooth surfaces. if you folks don't like the racing on shale and the conditions that go with it why on earth do you continue to follow the sport. it's so tedious to watch everyone continually harp on about it without a thought for how the continual criticism and snipes affect the morale of everyone involved including the spectators-celebrate it! 4 1 2
