Roger Jacobs
11 hours ago, SUPERACE said: A fantastic meeting, a strong fightback from the Aces, got to be happy with a point after being 14 points behind, with over a third of the meeting done. We would have won it with Lidsey for sure, just too much to do without him. We will never know the result if Lidsey had ridden. Nobody could have predicted what did happen last night. Race the same match tonight with the same teams and you'll get a different result.
Roger Jacobs
1 hour ago, SUPERACE said: If Lidsey rode both races and won them both we would have been 6 points (Rather than 14) behind in heat 7, so would have still had Kurtz as a tactical. If, if, if. That's the whole point (pun intended). We will never know, so nobody can say with any certainty what would have happened. Gavan
I hate the superheat The reason a meeting is a draw is because that’s the right result we don’t need another heat to determine that

Not sure the 2 captains were too impressed. Nicholls isn't an official is he, he's just part of the TV crew, he could ask them to arm wrestle for all I care. Surely the riders, managers or referee should have told him "no we need to do a coin toss"? 1

Tinker
4 hours ago, PhilTheAce said: Decent meeting and good comeback although it meant nothing in the end really despite getting a point. Good crowd for a tv meeting so the club will be happy kurtz was very slow last night, i wouldnt say his eyes are fully on the prize, he was trying everything last night, just ;acked speed. our frailties are certainly costing us right now, just hope they can find some form for the play offs. the way the team is built R/R will never work for us, especially when its one of the top 3 that are missing Hi Phil, I assume it's too late to make changes now? Blodorn has the occasional decent race, although very inconsistent, but the two reserves are a worry. If changes can't be made then they need to up their game significantly. Odds On
Loved the passion and excitement in Tatums voice....also thought Nicholls interview with Doyle right at the end was first class, only possible where riders are interviewed by riders or ex riders. One disappointment was when Thompson won heat six beating Kurtz from behind, no pit interview with him yet an interview with someone else, think it was Cook.

Yeah Belle Vue have passed the transfer cut-off date now. They were never gonna find a better RS than Mulford, but I did wonder how long they would give Zischke? On one hand I admire them for giving him time & not dropping him, but on the other hand think "you dropped Mountain last year, when he didn't do any worse" Mark Lemon favouring Aussies maybe? Although if you go by Champ from Zischke had improved for Workington, but not happening for Belle Vue (so far).

If they have to persist with this ridiculous extra heat at least they should keep going until they have a heat advantage. Can't understand why the thought of a drawn meeting is such an horrific outcome.
